Another very good video from you Where do you put the delay pedal in the signal chain? The AC15 doesn’t have an FX Loop so I’m assuming all pedals are before the amp? Interested if you find timed effects do or don’t sound good if placed before the AC15 Looking forward to hearing your single

Thanks so much for the kind words. Yes you are correct, the AC15 does not have an FX loop so all pedals are before the amp. My chain is Guitar > overdrive pedals > phase > delay > reverb > Amp

Is the Torpedo Captor plugged into the External Speaker jack or the Extension Speaker jack? I noticed the Master Volume was set fairly high -- a volume that would probably be too loud for playing at home unless you're bypassing the internal speaker and using software to simulate a speaker. But then we wouldn't be hearing how the amp sounds with the internal speaker. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.
@guitarwalljams15 күн бұрын
@@NedSmith-fe8sq yes you are correct. The Vox speaker is bypassed and speaker load is going into the Torpedo and then emulating a 2 x 12 celestion cab mic’d by an Shure 57. You are also correct that setting the master volume at this level would be very unpleasant in home settings!

@@guitarwalljams Thank you very much for your reply. I recently purchased a used AC15c1 and find it fairly easy to get very nice clean tones, but am looking for a way to get more warmth and growl in the more distorted sounds. Do you have monitors to hear what you're playing?

Another reason why the Starcaster flopped was that Fender QC was pretty awful at the time across all models and the Starcaster was no different. Guy I knew bought a new one in '78 and soon discovered that it never stayed in tune and the neck moved around in the neck pocket (bad routing). He sold it after about three months.

Hey, You Were talking about Gibson Replacing The 498T and 490R Pickups in the Gibson Studio Les Pauls, And That The Burstbucker Pickups Were Better, Really?????????? Because I've Played Several Different Gibson SG's With A Few Different Types Of Gibson Burstbucker Pickups, And I Did Not Even Think That They Sounded Even Any better Than The Epiphone Probuckers, I Laughed When Comparing Them Side By Side, And The Huge Price Difference Between Gibson And Epiphone. Also You Were Saying That They Are Much Better Than The 498T and 490R Pickups, Right? Well Then Why Does Gibson Put The 498T And 490R Pickups In The Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom Models That Retail For Almost 4 Times More Than The Gibson Les Paul Studio. I Bet That's A Tough Question To Answer, Isn't It??????????????????????????????????
@guitarwalljamsАй бұрын
Hey Robert thanks for watching the video and comments. Yes, in my opinion, Burstbuckers and 57's pickups sound better than the 498T and 490R. This is based on my personal experience of owning and playing both for close to 20 years on my LP Studio and LP Standard. As for your comment about Epiphone pickups sounding close to Gibson, I agree! Go check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2WzaIVnncpgm8Usi=fn9q4kWMRM_q-zM9 where I did a deep dive comparison. Lastly, to answer your "tough question" why Gibson puts the 498T and 490R in some Custom Shops models, I don't know why Gibson does that. But I do know I would not buy one with those pickups in them or I would swap them like I did with my LP Studio. Have a good day my man. Cheers

Just bought a cherry burst studio and consider it to have 4 advantages over the Standard. 1) €1200 cheaper where I live in Italy, 2) Push/pull function, 3) Burstbucker Pro pickups over the Standard's Burstbuckers, and 4) The weight relief system (mine weighs 3.5kg or 7.7lb. Great guitar.

Gibson has a slightly warmer tone but aside from the very little difference they’re basically the same exact thing. Me personally I go with epiphone it’s a lot cheaper and the build quality is better but the electronics not so much kinda why I swap out my epiphone electronics for Gibson and end up with a better guitar granted it loses its value but I don’t plan on reselling I just want a guitar that works for me.
