Not sure about your area but we can't get CRC gasket cleaner down here in Florida anymore. I might be able to Amazon it, but from what the auto parts stores are telling me is they're all out with no intention of getting it. It seems to be consistent across all stores. I've checked just about everywhere. So, in my case I'm using engine degreaser. I have both heavy duty and original strength. Not sure if it'll hurt anything.

2017 Chevy Tahoe with 115K miles. Purchased brand new. Transmission (6L80e) last week started experiencing similar symptoms. Torque-Converter failed and metal all throughout transmission. No codes displayed. Tech couldn't even get it into reverse. Transmission in the shop for overhaul with Sonnax upgrades. Definitely want in on the Class Action suit.

My name is Johnny Bolton .my 2019 yukon xl with a 680l 6 speed transmission Went bad at 98000 miles. Warranty went out at 60k but the dealer will rebuild it for 6k and warranty it for 100k and 3 yrs. Better than original. Doesn't make sense to me. I would like to join a class action.

2016 Silverado 88K transmission gave out- slipping badly . For Gm dealer to put in a gm updated rebuild $6500. An independent garage also quoted me 6300 for a jasper rebuild. I had my PM complete flush and filter at 60K at the Gm Dealer. What junk! My old truck, 2005 Silverado had 240k on it with no problems. Sign me up!

Yes I am interested , Had new valve body put in because of hard downshifts, now 1,000 miles later, same thing, now had to pay 7,000.00 for reman from GM, because of metal filings from hub. Only at 80,000 miles, what's next.

Just got mine earlier this year and loved it. until the tc failed and now the replacement that was supposed to fix it is failing aleady. I'm 35 and this was supposed to be my first nice newer car. I'm disabled from an injury now and this is making my life so difficult that I don't know what to do. Just taking care of my pain is practically a full time job so I''m kinda screwed now and I dont know what I'm gonna do. If the lawsuit is only for 300-400 dollars like with the other lawsuits them I'm still completely screwed I threw away 20,000 I barely had to try and get transportation that doesnt hurt me and suits my needs. 100k miles trans I noticed 1st slip and shutter was before that. Trans fluid and filter change helped 1st shutter I noticed. Babied this for last 9 months and no way it will make it through this winter. I’m looking at replacement I can install or local shop if I don’t have the time.

Have a 2019 Chev Silverado 6 speed transmission gone out at 152k miles. Replace with rebuild Chev transmission. 2nd transmission gone out at additional 107k. Contact Chev Dealer and GMC rep to see they would do anything. Answer No. out of warranty period. I would like to join group. I have talked to several transmission shop and they say there is a problem with the transmission.

I bought a 2014 silverado used. the transmission seems to skip 2nd or 3rd. I read numerous comments with similar issues. the 2015-2019 are in a class action suit, why not the 2014? I'll join any that can be started. I don't have any documentation of problems as I just purchased the truck but can testify to the issues.

2017 Chevy Silverado with 6L80 72,000 miles Transmission is out and haven’t been able to save up to get it fixed yet

As mentioned below, as a shop owner, 6L80/90 transmissions keep us very busy. Two exchange GM units last week and one rebuild, three this week scheduled. 95% of problems we see are from 2014-2018 1/2 units with torque converter problems. GM's fix is to flush transmission with Mobile 1 HP/LV transmission fluid before it gets worse. If you can catch that first sign of a slip (feels like running over very light rumble strip or a slight misfire, mostly under light throttle around 45 mph cruising, then tipping back into throttle) most of these transmission can avoid a total failure. Easy way to tell if unit is already too far gone, use one half bottle of Ford Friction Modifier (differential posi additive). If problem is instantly gone, flush transmission with Mobile fluid and you will have a lot of life left in unit, If problem still exist, plan on 5,500.00 to 6,500.00 rebuild / replacement unit, out the window into you GM rig.

Inhabe 2017 Sierra 110k miles and v6 with 6l80 trans. Started banging gears it felt like getting rear ended and it would slip but not all the time. Finally it started squealing so I stopped and had it towed to a trans shop. $5100 to rebuild !!!!
