We are heading up to the Cariboo Chilcotin in a couple of weeks. We came across your channel while exploring a few places to go visit. Your channel is amazing. We love how you bring the people and their stories into your videos. There is so much history and so many stories that people have to share and not enough people out there to listen and help them share their stories so they are not lost. Thank you for bringing this area of BC to life for us. We subscribed right away and look forward to watching the rest of your content! We cannot wait to explore this area of BC. We have 2 weeks. If there is anywhere you think is a must explore during our visit, please let us know!

So a native community dealt peacefully with the white man and had a prosperous time until other native communities came forward to fight the white man but a true leader spoke wisdom and bartered peace in the chilcotin

This looks very interesting, having living in the South Cariboo, never have been in the Northern area and will have to put it on my to do list!

A nature reserve in any capacity is kind of a big deal, especially when it's old growth and the biggest pacific temperate rainforest in the whole world

only accessible by boat or by airplane, there is no roads within the park. the park is also home to indigenous people.

the park is 6 million hectacres so, this short makes it seems like it is smaller then it is, it is massive.

On our return visit to the Yukon we stopped in Horsefly based on a conversation we had with Pharis Romero after their performance at the Blue Moon Folk Club in Edmonton. I asked her where they lived and she mentioned Horsefly BC......so of course we were curious about the place as we fell in love with their music and infectious personalities! We were enchanted with the place!

great story great store. The reason it was preserved so well was the roof was corrugated tin and looks like a steep 12 x 12 pitch and water runs right off. I Recommend that once a year go inspect the roof outside and one side has chimney and will need patching with some wet or dry black roof patch. Also go in the attic when it raining from inside look for leaks. The other reason is there is no crime or vandalism. look at the 60s and the black riots stirred up by the communists like today , all over the us especially detroit and now has so many burned down and abandoned houses and has the most dangerous neighborhoods in the world.
