A few years back, I was dating a girl who I thought was someone really special. I could tell she liked me, but she was really nervous about taking the relationship anywhere, because of various events in her past that had set some really bad precedents. In the middle of all this, this song came out, and I couldn't believe it! It was basically our relationship word for word, and so the next time we were together, I told her, "I want you to think about this," and then I played this song for her. Yesterday she mentioned to me that this was a pivotal moment for her because her background was bad enough that the optimism displayed in this song was a perspective that she had literally just never considered, and that it helped her look at things a whole different way. We've been married for over 3 years now. Thank you, Kane, for helping me seal the deal with my true love!
