My mothers whole side of family was all lineman. Still are. The shoemakers. Anyone here as a lineman may know of them. Hats off to you all.

You guys get paid a lot and don’t do much work. Mostly waiting around getting paid, with a whole lot of grounds men. Spoiled, and most of your leads you work with are aluminum. Which is very light in weight and easy to work with.

I spent 44 years as a journeyman lineman/line crew foreman. Safety-Safety-Safety. THATS NUMBER ONE! What this video shows is spot on. It’s a brotherhood that you have to work in to totally understand what it means. You watch out for others and they watch out for you. Remember what Reddy Kilowatt said “Remember kids, electricity will kill you!” If it ain’t grounded it ain’t dead! Were there days that seemed insurmountable and would never end? You bet! Hurricanes, tornadoes, wind, heat, snowstorms, ice, thunderstorms, mud slides/rock slides, floods and earthquakes. In your career you will have experienced it all. I wouldn’t trade what I learned and experienced for anything. Looking back there is an old saying, that if you enjoy your job you’ll never work a day in your life. I feel blessed to have worked with the best line hands possible and make some lifelong friendships. Prayers go out to you all!

As an old timer, they used to put a grounded clamp under the climber so if some thing where to happen it would most likely go to around the climber. Especially it pole has tracking... What happens when the capacitors has reaction... Right underneath it... Hot oil, melting rubber. Maybe a telescoptic stick from ground

There have been multiple assessments done that say, if the grid went down in the US, 90% of the population would die in 3 to 4 months. The lineman trade will always be lineMAN, I constantly say this to feminists, men do the hard, dangerous, and seriously dirty work, everything that makes society work, requires men. Yes, you might find an outlier woman, "working" on a road crew, but she's usually flagging traffic or occasionally running a piece of equipment. The same with fire fighting, there are women with the title, but they cannot do ALL the things men can do. I hold lineman in the absolute highest regard, they are the bravest men doing what no one else will do and frankly can do. THANK YOU LINEMEN!

A stop to remember. We had the best experience with the most incredible couple, who are very passionate about what they have created. We truly enjoyed our visit to the Dinosaur Museum, outer old buildings. We would like to thank our gracious hosts for sharing their knowledgeable with us. An added bonus was the vintage car museum. And to end our visit at the Sugar Shack for a fresh burger and handmade shake was perfect! Thank you!

Please give practical example of bandwidth calculation. My question is what will be required bandwidth to handle 10 Lacs users at a time to provide access to videos of 500 MB each. Presume that internet speed is 15 MBPS.

Everyone always hopes for a white Christmas, I always hope for it to be dry, clear, and calm, so linemen, plow operators, and other unsung emergency personnel of that nature can be home with their families. Thank you to them for all they do, may they stay safe, and may the weather be ever in their favor.

A very fine presentation. You seem to have good cause to be very proud of your museum and community. Commendable to hear you working with the museum community and not unduly concerned with private sales of our irreplaceable fossil resources. Your friend would be so pleased to see how you have protected and nurtured this fabulous site.
