Thank you for this video ❤ It worked for me, but to connect to the green grey wire, I used a paperclip in the socket opposite, on the back of the module, to get an electrical connection to the wire - just count along from the marked number 1, until you get to twelve and you should be opposite the right wire. Then I connected the power supply cable to the paperclip and it worked. Thanks again for this video, you saved my car from the scrapyard, so hugely grateful for you showing how to do this.

Thank you so much for this video, can also confirm it works. We had a corroded positive battery terminal and a completely flat battery, so we were locked out of the boot until we did what this video showed us! One word of warning - the central locking won't work until you put the wiring module back in place behind the glove box. We almost locked ourselves out a second time!

I found that one could also, if not wire soldering inclined, disconnect the trunk or hood/bonnet latch connector tricking the ecu into thinking either are open so no alarm will sound. No lights on dash will apear either. This has worked on mine for a long term or temporary solution until one can get problem sorted properly.

@jackwhitford4747

Doing mine right now. There is a little plastic harness on the left side that the cable bundle is in. Get it out of that and you get some slack to work with. Then you'll notice that the entire grey base will slide out (up). There is a little clip/guide on the side that it slides in and out of. Slide it out and you gain access underneath.

Hey John, have you had any luck? My 2008 Mazda6 has been going off at all times. Just had the rear passenger offside door actuator replaced, but that didn’t fix the problem, even though it’s a common fault. Have spent today cleaning this fuse box connector. It was gunky and had the blueish corrosive coating over the pins. Now it’s shiny again.. hoping the problem is now fixed... For anyone else, I’ve been taking the horn fuse out at night so to keep the neighbours rage down and my own sleep up. Lol
