@ I wasn’t sure. Can’t see them well enough. Could very well be a spider gear setup as well. Either way, I love your rig. I’ve wanted to do the same with an Oshkosh 8x8 or 10x10 ….. but the axle ratios available on your S & S rig have me second guessing myself. Might do a 7 ton 6x6 with the rear steer too.

Purpose built machines from start to finnish. Amazing lift for the bike...guess its worth every dollar.😄 Looking also for the new 390Adv R which is a huge upgrade. One thing that it is a bit of a letdown is the exhaust pipe, which ends fairly low and in case you get stuck in deep mud or a water crossing can be an issue. Hope there will come some aftermarket options for that though. Wish you all the best in your travels!!🙂

That's a very interesting rig. 1- I would choose the Unimog, as the lighter tow vehicle, so I can leave the towed trailer behind in the base, and quickly explore the inaccessible areas in a much lighter vehicle. 2- I'd choose the Unimog over the Land Rover and other vehicles, because of better fording, ground clearance and much better vertical gradient, arrival, departure, break over and tipping angles and vertical object clearance. 3- Are there more capable trailer campers than the Bruder in the pre-fabricated category?
@drivetheglobe2 күн бұрын
Thanks for visiting. The mog is definitely one of the best vehicles off road- although not so good on the road. Not sure about trailers but the Bruder is a good one.
@assetstopurchase84322 күн бұрын
@drivetheglobe Why one of the best, and not the best? Which ones have you found better on the road and off the road, or as capable off the road and better on the road?

Beautiful truck, but the desert or paved roads is the only place you can use it. Wouldn’t get very far trying to take it down a narrow two track in the jungle. Or the boreal forests of the northern hemisphere
