You can hold it, yes. If they recover, you might be letting go of down too early or jumping/walking too late.

It's a really tiring match-up to play because neutral favors Sim in almost every situation. GanFleim has really optimized the character to the point where you have very few good options at a lot of ranges.

@LIONTAMER3D those are really good too so facts on that. The only reason sfa3 gets a lot of hate is because of the infinite & more importantly it doesn't feel anything like the first or 2nd alpha games. Alpha 3 is better than those 2 but some pros don't want to accept that, just like any new sf game. Won't disagree that the latest ones are nothing like the ones you listed. Forever goats

@TheGohthecrow it sucks for many reasons: 1) collision detection is lol, there's times where i see my attack physically overlap the opponent's sprite & it doesn't connect 2) custom combo opaf, 3 modes to choose from & only 1 is actually viable 3) bugs galore, too many to list 4) aesthetically unpleasing cartoon animation, 5) announcer never stfu; there's many more reasons, as well as the infinites.

There's a few characters that can do okay, but the only person who has a good match-up against him if you ask top players is V-Akuma. Everyone else loses to him. Kinda like Chun in 3S where she has no bad match-ups. That being said, there's still a bunch of stuff I'm doing wrong in this match-up, since most of my Sim experience was with Cody and not Sodom. GanFleim spent a lot of time labbing stuff to counter me specifically, since I always used to win our sets, so we'll see how things progress once I learn all the ins and outs of the match-up.

Nice, as a V Akuma player, I find it interesting what you said about that match up cause I'm agree with you but it always required a lot of stressful effort from me. In the other hand Ganfleim is a talented young player that put a crazy amount of time practicing and getting better so your sets are super fun to watch even if they are casuals. I'll be waiting for your next sets to see how your games evolve, thanks for the post.

A-Gen, V-Karin, A-Guy have more technical stuff than most chars. A lot of chars have plenty of difficult stuff in V-ISM though.

@@KyokujiFGC after back MP 1st hit or LP+MP 1st hit target combo you can combo cr HK-HK ( or cr HK + close HK + HK or even cr HK+ close HK + close HK + HK of opponent in the corner, have to check exactly if some characters have exceptions, with some of them I can juggle with the close HK mid screen, still learning the character, and not really sure about the last one ). So with just one standing LP ( which he landed on every whiff shoryuken or SA ) you can add 1MP and 2-3 HK in total. He does use the lp mp launcher but then goes EX DP + air target combo with lp forward HP or MK forward HK, which consumes some meter, while the other combo gives a lot of meter and is objectively easier to execute + the fact that I am not sure that It does much more total damage with the combo dmg reduction, It may be even less. Sorry for big text, but I started SF3 recently and I 'm reading all the frame data/combos/wiki/guides etc... the last days, since I started playing her, and tried those combos personnally. The only pro I see is that you can use DP as a SA1 launcher to close the game against a low hp opponent.
