Thankyou so much for this podcast, it gave me some insights as a student looking forward and trying to find ways to integrate AI and mental wellness. I liked the info about helping clinicians integrate with use of technology. There is something that has me interested deeply, How can AI be integrated in apps for use by students in school, parents, teachers and school counselor. Dr. John did mention that the UK study showed that minfulness in school for students didn't help, but I am really curious about it. - What if students and children knew about emotional regulation from young age? - What if Schools could be for life as well as education? - What if AI's applications like sentiment analysis, Reinforcement Learning, Gamifying apps could attract students? - What if something could bridge the gap between parents and children as it is becoming vast day by day. - What if an app could help for realy detection. But thats what it is, only an idea based on my experiences. I havent been able to do anything valuable about it in reality. So my question is, How can AI applications helo students, even though there is a high chance of becoming dependent. I would be glad if I could hear some views and opinions regarding this🤗☺️

"Blue Zones" have been debunked as areas of longest lives. See the research of Dr Saul Justin Newman. The areas studied have unreliable birth registrations & poverty which results in people often raising their age to get the pension. Blue zones also have unreliable death records which means people long dead are assumed to be still living if there is no death certificate.

You talk about trauma to tissues that cause inflammation and this sort of leads to autoimmune disease. Have you read the work of Dr Gabor Mate? You are missing the Trauma from the mindbody perspective. Dive into it, please!

Bringing AI into healthcare means integrating advanced algorithms and machine learning technologies to enhance various aspects of medical practice, from diagnosis to treatment and patient care. AI can help doctors by analyzing vast amounts of medical data to identify patterns that might be missed by humans, aiding in early detection of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, or heart conditions. It can also streamline administrative tasks, reducing costs and improving efficiency, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care. AI-driven tools like predictive analytics can improve treatment plans, predict patient outcomes, and personalize therapies. Moreover, AI can support healthcare research by accelerating drug discovery, modeling complex diseases, and providing real-time insights into patient health. However, it’s crucial to ensure that AI in healthcare is implemented with ethical guidelines, safeguards for privacy, and a focus on complementing human expertise, rather than replacing it, to ensure that these advancements truly benefit patient outcomes and healthcare systems as a whole.

What an incredible interview! I am astounded on so many levels. I was already aware of the musical genius of Paul Simon, but had no idea what an intelligent person he is, sagacious in his response to the questions asked of him. My younger son is severely hearing impaired in his right ear (in which he wears an aid) and profoundly impaired in his left ear (which is not benefited by an aid) It has always been been our most fervent hope that a cure will someday be possible. We recently learned of a clinical trial involving a stem cell protocol, however my son (34) was deemed “too old” for this pediatric trial. We must hope, but the price we pay for that is frustration, disappointment, and a sadness that often feels near defeat. Thank God for efforts like the Stanford Initiative, and for philanthropists like Paul Simon! 🥰

Hi. Believe it or not, there's (real) cure - not "hope" - to ANY pain, ache, ailment, malady, DISEASE. BUT, take heed, it's NOT through science (medical science, or any kind of science for that matter). Read "The Game of Life and How to Play It" (Florence Scovel Shinn). If you pay close attention to her stories (with a completely silent reasoning mind...NOT an "open mind"), and you put into action what you shall learn in it, especially the very last decree (at the end of the book), a miracle may happen. Did I say "miracle"? Oh, well - miracles are real, and if only one comes to pass, all of them do - why not yours? Success, and Happiness...and Health!
