Beautiful and I did listen to it with earphones. I would appreciate a reference for the translation.

I think you've touched on something very new here. Its spiritualism spans across the world with this melody and presentation. I hear notes of Pacific Islanders, Mediterranean swaying, earthy European melody, all bound up in our beloved Nigun tradition. Using the choir as an Organ is brilliant and adds to extraordinary color and depth of the music. Congratulations to all of you and thank you for this wonderful experience.

Your music is very nice but it reminds me more of African music than Jewish music. I am sure it is a very spiritual encounter for you but to my taste it is missing the "kvetch".Of course every generation finds a new shir chadash but something is missi sng......

Dear Joey, When my father died of a fatal heart attack April 7, 2023, I was unprepared for the depth of my grief. But your music, and memories of playing videos, especially of you with your children -- for him when he was 94 and 95, - these things were a source of comfort fo me. I remember you saying - I think on one of the Sunday night songwriting sessions- I think possibly even Ecclesiastes and you, Joey, said. Well, yes, God says you down there, you! Yes you! You are ALL going to die. And so do the right thing, the right things before you die, because that’s all there is, a season for everything, and then you die. And the song lyrics say, but have a little drink- on the way, it is OK - it will not save your life, because everybody dies, and so the song and beat and melody are for everyone to be able to drink, a little, dance and sing a little, on the way. I asked you for guidance on the mourner’s Kaddish, and you wrote back with some hyperlinks. But I knew, because of failing so often to understand, music theory, or Hebrew, that you always respected that I tried. I tried to remember to treat myself with respect, even when I had no words. When I first played my Dad one of your videos with your children, he asked who you were. I said that’s Joey. I said to my Dad, Joey reminds me of you teaching me holiday songs in Hebrew when I was little. Then your daughter, who was very shy, came into the video frame one week. See! I said to my Dad, that’s how I was. He looked confused. Shy, I said. I felt shy. Ah, he said, and squeezed my fingers. Then my father smiled. Why are you smiling, I asked. I do not know, he said. And we laughed and laughed together. THAT is a memory I cherish. Because even if his death foretold was there in that moment; we also had those little sips of laughter….. Please get this comment to Joey. It is October 16th, 2024, and I thank you for the Riding Song ensemble.
