I apologize for the delay in commenting, Truth ... I needed to research this, as well as thinking about this: I met my first hip-hop head in 1979, where he had the Technics turntable set-up and the crates full of 1970s jazz - from Herbie Hancock to Bob James to Donald Byrd to George Howard to Grover Washington, Jr., George Duke, etc.; I think the difficulty in being an artist today is in its pipeline: from what I understand, at the fundamental level, growth is not encouraged - to understand the depth and breadth of music DEMANDS careful study of any discipline in its medium; we all borrow, but do we push it forward? Or, as you have seen ... unworthy vampires 'interpolate' other people's work, but, by unethical legalese, take the meat of intellectual property and tweak it - and drain the ingenuity of classic work; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, eh? ... I am 64, but my musical spirit is timeless ... so an artist must keep one foot in the future and the past to bring the noise; so an 'artist' must, in spite of the immediate, must diametrically be past and future ... I pray this makes sense 🙂

@benaiah1960 No worries, i appreciate you always tapping in. Man, I love that explanation, and it's actually a very good observation. I'm a big jazz listener, as well as music lover of many genres. It is always easy to spot the difference between artists who care about their craft and those that do it for different reasons. I referenced jazz because ,even though the majority I listen to is mainly instrumental, I can still almost tell what the artist is trying to convey. So, like I said earlier, that was a great observation, because a lot of music today that's being marketed, in my opinion, is very soul-less.

A woman’s intuition is a false narrative. There is only one intuition. Women are more “capable” of thinking with their “feelings” whereas men are more logical with their thought process. Because of this women call it a woman’s intuition….which is well….you know

This unveiled the underlying responsibilities as a coach. It's a lot and a serious commitment. So sad to hear about the youth losing their lives and the fault of it all hanging in the balance. RIP to those kids

@kreativekiddies7495 forreal forreal! We use to always say, why don't the coaches come do it with us ? Always after feeling like it was goin too far.
@benaiah196028 күн бұрын
Good afternoon to you from Texas, Truth: the migration of coaches - especially in the upper echelon of high school/collegiate competition - has always been a double-edged sword; with the oligarchy of power that institutions held, especially with that loophole of joint state/federal sovereignty, dark money coupled with draconian labor laws set a bar: to compete at the highest level, the revenue was doled out under 'trickle-down' economics - the institution and the endowment, then then the athletic department and its cash cow, then funding the peripheral sports that must meet federal guidelines without compensating the players that generate the revenue ... This is most prevalent in the 'amateur' junior ranks: from Pee-Wee to AAU to Nike/Adidas camps, etc., the impetus is getting to the next level in all facets - especially the coaches: that is why it was such a big deal when Dan Hurley turned down a 6 yr/$70M deal with the Lakers to stay with a dynastic (now blue - blood) program at UConn - coaches normally want to make a name for themselves to go to the next level, and secure the bag ... i.e. sponsorships, team shoe deals, radio/podcast deals, athletic department control, on and on (John Calipari, anyone?) without the consequence of coaching as guidance but hyping the institution ... Enough of the rant: coaches jumping to and fro, recruiting and ditching players to the next best thing is as old as revenue athletics - and will continue to be so
@dlouthetruth28 күн бұрын
Greetings family! I actually appreciate that rant!😁 . What I took from that is, that you feel like alot of times, coaches get consumed with their own desires, more so then their athletes. Winning is apart of that, but regardless of the cost, they are so goal driven that you tend to overlook the importance of being a coach genuinely! Also, being that sports, especially on lower levels (youth, high school, college), have become so lucrative to the point where Coaches on those levels(mainly college), are making more then professional coaches in some cases (Nick Saban), now you have coaches and institutions literally using their athletes for monetary gain and when a player goes down, or isn't helping that agenda, it's literally a move on to whatever makes the system work, because it's more about the dollar then the athlete! Am I somewhere in the ballpark?!
@benaiah196028 күн бұрын
@@dlouthetruth Well said! Add to that the proliferation of social media, and you have a firestorm that is only aided by a scirocco ( shout-out to a Cali/SW phenomenon!): exploitation of youth athletics to get that bag, instead of what legendary coaches such as Clarence 'Big House' Gaines, Eddie Robinson, John Chaney, John Thompson et al ( forgive me for not mentioning all the heroes and sheroes) were initially there for: molding young men and women to become men and women
