I did a book review of Dr. Wellum’s Systematic Theology 😎

I have listened. Read. Listened again to 3 key men in NCT. Why they absolutely miss the Septenary arrangement of the Scripture is beyond me. This attempt to bridge Reformed and Disp is noble and helpful relative to the law but ends up with an old post millennial position. Can’t go there. Don’t go there.

You put yourself under confessions of man. Are you not doing the same of the judisisers of the early church. There is only one church in the bible, all those who are saved. One does not become a member of the church by a particular gathering of believers who ahere to their confession. We are put in the church body by the Holy Spirit at salvation. Nothing to do with baptism are a mans particular fellowship confessions.

Was watching a video by white called: ' What is new covenant theology ' a year ago. Listening to this video it seems he has left his belief in new covenant theology in his conversation here.
@Jeff-gr3yl6 ай бұрын
In the Acts of the apostles you see they where saved first, baptism had no part in a person being part of the body of Christ. It is belief in Christ alone. Mr White seems to have forsaken NCT in this conversation.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. I don't see much distinction needed between CT and NCT other than to make a hairline separation between God The Father and God the Son (which isn't needed). Everything Christ commanded can be seen in the original 10 commandments. In the eternal state, no distinction between Jew/Gentile.

Gay. =============================== Multiple Second Coming Visions in Revelation: (book not in chronological order ) Christ returns one time in the future. However, there are several different visions of His return shown from different perspectives in the Book of Revelation. Christ returns at the end of Revelation chapter 6, with signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as are found in the Olivet Discourse. Those at the end of the chapter are hiding from the wrath of the Lamb. Why would they be hiding if Christ is not present? The "kings", "captains", "might men", "free", and "bond" are also found in chapter 19 at the return of Christ. He returns at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18. The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson containing the fall of Satan, and the birth and death of Christ, who is the seed promised to crush the head of Satan in Genesis 3:15. The Second Coming is found in the "harvest" of chapter 14, which is related to the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew chapter 13. He comes as a thief at Armageddon, and we find the greatest earthquake in history in chapter 16. This occurs when the 7th angel pours out his vial. How powerful is an earthquake which moves islands and destroys the mountains? What is happening to the planet? He comes on a horse in chapter 19. Chapter 20? Does He come with the fire, and the judgment of the dead at the end of chapter 20, which agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, and 2 Timothy 4:1? (The time of the judgment of the dead is also found in Revelation 11:18.) There are no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Matthew 25:31-46. Why does an angel come down from heaven with a key to unlock the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:1-2, if the pit was not already locked before that time? Are there wicked angels in the pit in Rev. 9:11? If the beast "ascends" from the pit in Rev. chapter 11, where was the beast before that time? Does your view agree with Peter in 2 Pet. 2:4, and Jude in Jude 1:6, when they both said wicked angels are already in chains of darkness? Revelation 9:14 proves some of the angels were previously bound in some manner. Because the two witnesses were bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation 11, the "first resurrection" at the beginning of Revelation 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the book. The principle of "Recapitulation" means there are multiple visions of His return.

Per Strong's Concordance, the word Testament also means Covenant!! Wow. So they cling to the 10 Commandments bc it's tangible & there's no mystery in it. But that's not The Gospel 🙈🙉🙊

But most OT Law abiders follow the 10 Commandments. They don't seem to understand, even when u inform them, it's actually 613 Mitzvot Laws. And since there are no Levite priests anymore (that I know of) there is no animal sin offering system available. Many Hebrew Roots "christians" believe their "faith" in Jesus takes away their sin so they follow the 10 commandments with the death penalty removed. This is very naive. They're mixing OT Law Covenant with the NT Priesthood of Christ (Tribe of Judah). They refuse to heed the teachings of Paul in Roman's, Galatians & Hebrews. They're convinced they are the righteous ones for following The OT Law.

what Law is written on the heart, if it is the Law of Christ, what exactly is the Law of Christ?
@gabrielornellas83132 жыл бұрын
The Law of Christ is the exact character of God. It is not something you can put in a few lines of paper. Like describing God, the Law of Christ is something very hard to put in a few words. But the main commandment of the Law of Christ is: Love thy neighbor as yourself. And of course, when it says love it means what the bible defines as love, not what man define as love. People get scared of it, because it looks subjective, but that is not the point. The point is that the Law of Christ is the Holy Spirit within you, guiding your actions, through Scripture. So for you to fully understand the Law of Christ, you must know God, Scripture, and know what he likes and deslikes. God likes justice, so the Law of Christ is justice, God likes holines, so the law of Chirst is holines, God likes purity, so the Law of Christ is purity, etc, etc.

KJV translation says the Mosaic Law was a School Master. After Jesus came to fulfill the prophets & the Law, shedding His God DNA all over Calvary. After the death, resurrection & ascension as the King of Kings & Lord of Lords, He changed times & the Law. The new Law & new Covenant was that the Just shall live by Faith.

One thing I can’t get behind is the idea that the sermon on the Mount has anything to do with the New Covenant. This is why “New Covenant Theology” actually misuses the terminology. The sermon on the mount is old covenant law, yet taken to the utmost. Jesus on a few occasions would speak to those under the law in ways that would expose who they were. To a man asking “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” And Jesus responds in a way we never would today, which is, “you know the law…” and tells the man to keep the law in order to inherit eternal life. This is absurd unless He was leading the man to recognize something else. To the rich young man he says, “sell all you have and give the money to the poor”.. this again is a teaching that we should not be following but is rather exposing the heart that this man really did not keep the law as it was intended. The sermon on the mount is a full, deep dive into the old covenant law. The jew had to really face it and stop make-believing he was keeping it. The people needed to see that the Pharisees had lowered the standard. Sure there are plenty of good ethical takeaways from this sermon, but there are some things in it that would be contradictory for new covenant believers. Christian’s don’t need ethical takeaways and they don’t need the sermon on the Mount to live according to the spirit of God! The Pharisees would lower the demands of the law. Christ raised it back up. That is to say He upheld the law. He held it up. The true standard for Heaven is perfection. Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? He who washes his hands every time they get dirty or he who has clean hands? He who confesses his habitual sin or he who has a pure heart? He who occasionally repents of his idolatry or he who never lifts his soul to an idol? We see that this is only Jesus. It is by faith in Him that we truly are IN Him. The sermon is given to people under the law. Christ is given to people who are in Jesus. Jesus in no way is preaching Grace during this sermon. Not an iota of it. Not even a little bit. This is pure law. Total extreme legalism. Paul preaches Grace. Paul even partly quotes Jesus in saying, “the whole law is summed up in one decree, that you shall love your neighbor as yourself… BUT we who live by the spirit are not under the LAW.” How much more clear does it have to be that the sermon is not for believers? Jesus says, “IF your hand offends you, cut it off!” Nobody’s hand ever causes them to sin. Never. Not once. Any halfwit would recognize this right away. “Duh, my hand doesn’t cause me to sin…” What does? Truly it is the heart. You can’t cut out your heart and still live. Herein is the push. The point of the sermon. You must die. You must receive a heart transplant.

And that's why the thief on the cross next to Jesus was saved. Besides his humble Repentance & Reverence before Jesus, he literally died to his flesh & the sin nature which is embedded in his flesh (in our hearts). Btw did u know a person, place or thing (artichokes) have a heart? David was a man after God's own heart. So in biblical context, heart means the Core, Center, or Main Part. Which is our SOUL. Satan wants our soul because God wants our soul. God is a Spirit & all His attributes & magnificence is encrypted into His SEED, which produced Jesus Christ. Our soul attributes are also encrypted in DNA CODE. Made from Dust of the EARTH. God breathed life into Adam & he became a living soul. So HEART = SOUL = DNA = EARTH. Notice heart is an anagram of earth ❤. God's will for us is clear. EARTH + SEED = FRUIT = HARVEST. God's Seed produces Christ within our Soul. That's the mystery of the Gospel which the legalists just don't understand so they cling to something tangible like the 10 Commandments. However, unless Jesus Christ becomes our everything (all & in all), God's Seed cannot produce good fruit. Instead, the 🐍👁👌 produces thorns & thistles in our Heart/Soul/DNA. The fruit would be the image of the Beast rather than the image of God. The Bible teaches us about our own reGENEration. By the dominant Spirit ruling our heart, we are co-builders of our own Temple of God or Temple of Doom. God examines our heart means our Genetic Codes. Not pineal gland. Not cardiac muscle. The Harvest Fruit is our DNA

That's a tough one for me. Because I understand the new covenant to include the law written on our hearts, which would include us being doers of the law and not hearers only. That would be the heart transplant you mentioned. That) looks like something in a person's life. Consider 1 John 3, that the one born of God keeps the commands of God. Regarding the cutting off of one's hand, I read it a bit differently. Similar to Matthew 16:24-27, where Jesus asks us to weigh the value of our bodies in comparison with our souls and reassess their relative values. To place the soul body comparison in such shocking terms would wake a person to the danger their souls are in. It's not necessarily the old covenant. He says "forgive us our trespasses". I get that the sermon on the mount seems like a burden. Maybe so. But I think of Titus 2:11-14, that the grace of God teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly passions, and salvation, and redemption purifies a people zealous for good works. So isn't it a part of the gospel and salvation that we conform to Christ's doctrine? To say that's just law, which is prior to the gospel, doesn't seem quite right. It's not that we come under that so it condemns us. But rather it comes into us, into the heart, and the gospel includes the law being written on our heart.

What is the Law written on our hearts as Christians? That is the only NCT problem I have. Other than that NCT is the only true to scripture Theology. Thanks Brother

It sounds like you are referring to Roman 2:14-15. This passage doesn’t say the Law is written on the hearts of Christians per se.. This is talking about the evidence that the requirements of God are naturally inwardly known by all people by the way that they do right or avoid wrong doing because their conscience bothers them over it.
@Jacob1611.2 жыл бұрын
@@JonathanGrandt Thank you. Romans 2:15 refers to the work of the Law, which the work of the Law is the knowledge of sin(Romans 3:20). I mean in this New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:33.

@@Jacob1611. Jesus imputed His Righteousness to believers who will abide & trust in Him. But even to non-believing descendants of Adam (distinct from Cain's bloodline). The Blood of Jesus entered the human genome, granting humanity common grace. That means we all received a conscience. We intuitively know right from wrong. Bc God's laws were written in our hearts. That means His Blood reprogrammed our DNA. But each person has free will. It's like we're born with a dual nature just like there were 2 opposing trees in the Garden. Animals, birds, fish & insects all behave in certain ways bc Instructions were written into their DNA. Heart = DNA. God gave us a new operating system. Nothing is actually written on your cardiac muscle. All your instructions, sins & faith are written where? Your DNA, the story of your life covered by the life of Jesus Christ OR you stand naked, blind, poor & miserable b4 God when common grace ends & judgement begins. No one has an excuse per Jeremiah 31.

Why did Paul in Romans 7 refer to "you shalt not covet" as part of the thing he had to die to in order to "serve in the new way of the Spirit and not the old way of the written code"? That particular commandment relates very much to the heart, but he includes it here. I think if you can answer this then you have the answer. See also 2Cor 3. I disagree with the other commentor about Romans 2. I believe it refers to believers, not the natural law.

All of this works great with Preterism. Have you looked into Eschatology and how it was necessary for Christ to judge Old C Israel, destroy the temple, permanently remove the law, thus bringing in "Kingdom Now".

Great point on time statements. Have you also looked into Preterism? It fits for the same reasons New C Theology fits. God-bless.

Is there a FORGOTTEN or LOST Covenant of the Kingdom? There's a book on Amazon titled THE LOST COVENANT OF THE KINGDOM. Do you know about this?
