This is not traditional Hawaiian hula. It is a song by Elvis Presley with a hula but not Hawaiian.

Hawaiian wedding song by Andy Williams, choreographed by me. Even thou this is not considered a traditional hula per se, it is traditionally used at Hawaiian themed weddings, performed by the bride, a hula show girl or a family/friend of either of the newlyweds to be. If you would like to learn hula with me, my online classes are here: www.patreon.com/myriamvalenzueladance To watch more hula videos, visit my hula youtube here: youtube.com/@hulawithmyriam?si=kVFQSSb4mAyuR_vj

I started dancing at 4yo & started hula in my teens. I taught & performed many years, I used to do hula shows as well. I had a yoga & dance studio for many years, but got exhausted of the business side of it, so I closed it & only teach online now. I am sharing my dance with you, with love 🌺 Hula youtube channel: www.youtube.com/@HulawithMyriam Hula online: www.patreon.com/myriamvalenzueladance Kilakila O Maui (Majestic Maui) - by Alice Mahi Keawekane Kilakila o Maui i ka roselani O ka ʻoi no ia e kaulana nei O ka wehi roselani, lei onaona He maʻu i ka ihu o ka malihini I ke kai kāua aʻo Kahului Lawaiʻa hukikolo, hukihuki mālie Haʻina ka puana o ka roselani Haʻaheo o Maui no e ka ʻoi Translation: Majestic Maui, whose flower is the rose Is well known for its excellence Its favorite adornment is the rose, lovely in a lei Giving cool fragrance that charms the visitor Let us go to the sea of Kahului The draw nets are pulled in slowly in rhythm This is the end of my song of the rose The pride of Maui, the best of the islands Song by Napua Choreography by Myriam Valenzuela

Thank you for this video. I've always wanted to learn this routine and I came across your channel. I love it that you teach every detail of the steps. Thank you, thank you. You reminded me so much of the Hawaiian teacher I had in my childhood days. I think I was 5 years old then when I first learned the hula dance. I want to perfect this routine and show my grandchildren how to dance. ❤❤❤
The hula for love looks like someone is there. Cool.

I hadn't heard that song for so long, I forgot it for a long time, the mind forgets, but the soul never does. When I was little I had the habit of rejecting anything that made me feel warm in my soul because it made me feel vulnerable and weak in the hostile world in which we live. It took me a long time to discover who I really was, when I heard this, when I discovered that the best thing for me was to surrender to my purest and most beautiful feelings, that was when I could be myself. This song and the dance are beautiful, too much beauty that falls like the rainbow after the storm, I am talking about ART!!! GLORIOUS AND EUPHORIC ART, THE BEST CREATION OF HUMAN BEINGS!!! THE ART IS SO SO SO PERFECT, IT HELPED ME KNOW THAT I AM DIANA ELENA, A MEXICAN TRANS GIRL, STRONG GIRL, DANCER, WITH GREAT MATERNAL INSTINCT, DEFENDER OF MY LGBT COMMUNITY, CUTE GIRL, ROMANTIC AND ARTIST❤ Thank you, beautiful people who dance, sing, draw, write and bring their art to the World.
