Everybody has different hands, grips, arms speeds and throw styles… the gyro has a huge impact on all that and how we are all different, the overmold helps some, hurts some….. for me personally, I throw the overmolds better than anything else. After that, the only discs I can throw consistently or worth a damn are with kastaplast k1 softs or discrafts esp flx…. I love the overmolds for my throw style.

Proton Tesla is my favorite of any disc I’ve tried yet. I drive it about 350ft straight flight with hard fade at the end. 175g destroys a headwind and it’s very predictable as to where it will land
@ViJt-oq5nq6 ай бұрын
Pretty much all of their -2 turn fairways fly more stable than you think it should. I feel like my Relay tries to turn a bit then fades back pretty hard.. where my Servo and Crave have a long slow turn and a gentle fade back.
@TheButlerNZ6 ай бұрын
380ft with a Tesla and you say a Medium speed arm. Yeah thanks for that. All of us that thought we had a medium speed arm at 100m (330ft) with a driver now feel just that little bit more s$^t that a medium arm supposedly gets 380ft with a fairway. 😁 Anyhooze... MY Tesla is a swamp find and is a little more stable than standard (I'd put it closer to -1, 3 as it flies much like my Rive.. except the Tesla is way more comfortable as a forehand (Especially as I don't throw forehands so best feel for a poor shot is definitely going to help). My Tesla is also excellent as a 1pm (angle) high speed roller, either launched at a 50-100ft distance without changing angle (depending on wind) that goes straight and long (birdied a 285ft yesterday with a 260ft roller across a flat field (non game shot.. to explain why I chose a roller on an open field). It also works great at that 1pm angle for a high lob over a hedge etc where it hits the ground running .. great if your stuck hard up against an object you can't get anything other than a 90 deg clearance shot from.

Save you from watching the true answer is no wanna know why because one thing mvp/axiom can’t do with their discs is put dome on the discs flight numbers mean nothing when comparing different companies it’s about actual flight and feel and until mvp can make a pop top disc they will always be lacking

I’m trying to replace a neutron inertia 163 that had some nice turn for me. Would this disc do it?
@jaboc838 ай бұрын
It's very likely. I will say this has not been MVP's most consistent mold so you may find you need to try a couple to find the right one. I haven't thrown any in quite a while though so the newer runs may be more consistent
@scottw52538 ай бұрын
I agree 100% with your Mako3 comparison assessment. Slightly faster, a bit more glide, and will still pan even after a long anhyzer turn. I have a Star Mako3 and bag a Neutron soft Uplink, which was the Mako's replacement once I learned how much better the Uplink was at that slot than the Mako3, and easier to throw. My mids go Uplink, Hex, Reactor, and I don't see any reason to change that anytime soon.

For me the Fission Rhythm is the closest to the River. It has most glide of the MvP mids 5.5 which makes it fly much closer then the Neutron one.

I spent a long time, agonizing over bagging the Gold Ice River or the Nuetron Crave. I tossed both for weeks in the field and on the course. Im a noodle arm but play wooded courses (325' drive) mostly. I REALLY wanted to keep the river, but ended up on the crave. The crave seems like a little bit 'safer' river, to me. I prefer the feel of gold ice, but its so damn hard to get. I still miss the River, but I don't miss its price and availability. Great review. Want a fun disc? Give the Pearl a swing. Its so stupid understable at even the lowest speeds. Im lhbh and the pearl is my left turn and hold thrower. Warning.. just like the fission Insanity in 150's, itll either fly like magic or be a total disaster. Thanks for the vid, good stuff!

I love MVP and for Drivers while I bag a Time Lapse, Fission Photon, and Fission Wave the Grace has a very special place in my bag that no MVP disc has been able to compete with it.

Amazing video. I wish you would throw that whole speed from MVP though. Those of us with bigger arms want to see like the crave vs the servo and it would only be an extra throw or 2! This video and the grace only actually really helped me when swapping to MVP!

What I love about the grace is its very minimal fade. I think it makes it unique. Gives a lot of consistency and precision landing in sweetspot. However the plastic wears much faster than ones like innova champion. Also becomes maybe a little too flippy when worn. I would love to have grace in opto plastic.

a fresh Wave in Cosmic Neutron in max weight would be an interesting comparison, those come out a lot more stable than the numbers say
@jaboc83 Жыл бұрын
It would be interesting to try. The last CN wave I had was just as flippy as regular neutron but that was a 2021 run I believe
@keyelectric91 Жыл бұрын
That is literally the same photon I have orange too but mine is a 148g and it flys a bit more over stable than my fission wave and my newer proton jet is similar to the wave just less fade. I think the throw at 13:15 was pretty similar to the grace throw before it with a little turn and fade. The grace flight path on flat bh is basically my photon bh flight path when I get it out to 350ft on a flat to baby hyzer release.

I have a few Grace’s and some MVP/Axiom/Streamline drivers, and I would say the Wave is the most comparable (mine is Plasma). All other drivers from MVP/Axiom is more stable than the Grace for me, the Grace requires quite a bit of hyzer for me. The Grace goes extremely far for an 11 speed though!

I think you might have abandoned the Rhythm 🪘 a little too early? I definitely get some turn thrown flat with my new max weight Neutron, and I don't throw as far as you. I just ordered the new opto-ice orbit River & Maul, looking to compare them to my Rhythm, Crave and Resistor and see if any of them gets kicked out of the bag. good video as always! 🥏
@jaboc83 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! It probably doesn't seem like I gave it much of a chance but I bagged that rhythm for a couple months and have thrown it enough to know it is very straight for me, but I've heard that many others get good turn out of them. I like the angle used here. I usually have my camera a bit more behind me, relative to the throwing area, but I think the positioning you use actually provides more of a view of the flight - especially anhyzer releases, and there's less a need to "get out of the way" to show the disc flight.
