He's still got it! The leg kick, the fastball. Sign him up and get him out to the pitcher's mound! 👏

The level of respect from Gala to come out and shake his hand, knowing he ruined the defining moment of his whole career, just shows that there are bigger things in life than just sports.

Still a very productive player today. I always remember this moment when I think about him.
My brother and I experienced this game on radio broadcast on our way home from work. Believe me it was just as good if not better than watching it on tv. Our imagination and excitement was through the roof! Thanks stras for everything

MLB umpires are funny. For 9 innings they think they're the meanest man on the planet and can whip anybody. 🤣

It's on the league for not having video review at the time. Umpires are human, will make errors. No replay made these incidents unavoidable.

I'm not even a tigers fan and I still don't forgive him. If it was close I would but it wasn't and even if it was close, give him the benefit of the doubt in that situation. No one would have cared if he called him out and it was a close, tough call.
@douglaspinsak1246Ай бұрын
I understand people make mistakes, but when it is THAT CLOSE, close enough for the you to hesitate before making the call, just give the guy the perfect game.

I respect Armando for giving Jim the line up, and giving him that pat on the back. You can tell Joyce felt terrible and remorseful. Armando has every right to feel vengeful, but he was classy just like Jim. And unfortunate misunderstanding, but among men who don’t let egos prevail.
@nicholase.9195Ай бұрын
I would beg to differ a little bit with the announcers comment that none of this would be possible without Galarraga‘s grace. I think none of this would be possible without the class and humility. that Jim Joyce showed.
