What a beautiful memorial to these gallant lads. The horrific incidents that must have befallen them is unfathomable to us in this day and age. It really brings home how a single village contributed so many men, many in their prime. Friends and family, witness to their time on this planet, now relegated, for the most part beyond memory to mere photos.
