Hi! I noticed on 4:44 you did RDS to a parry and straight into HYP. Im not able to transition fast to a stance after doing a parry cause I have to wait for the animation to finish. How did you do that?

transitioning stances takes some time to get used to haha. it's all about understanding the flow of xiaoyu's frames and animations. and for the parry, I used the RDS low parry which recovers faster than the regular RDS parry which parries highs and mids. so in the sequence it was, RDS> RDS low parry> HYP 3+4 cancel> hop and throw cancel> while rising 2.

Hi, i just started to learn xiaoyu and your videos have helped me a lot already (this is my 2nd day) Question, why do they eat your mental pressure with all the dancing? Can't they just power crush you out of it?

@@jsa18 good question! Usually, one of xiaoyu’s weaknesses is when people play defensively, anticipating mixups which is smart on them really. Xiaoyu has a plethora of shenanigans which people are aware of the higher rank you go. Me dancing ‘mixes up’ the mix ups I’m trying to pull off, allowing me to see if they’re anticipating what I’m about to do. In which case, I adapt and use different options on the spot that sometimes people can’t predict ahead of time. Think of it like me shuffling a deck, and people are trying to think of what I’m about to draw lol 😂 Powercrushing can be a little tricky to use vs xiaoyu sometimes because the sidesteps that come with back turn and aop dodges power crushes. Also, grabs will counter power crushes which I also do a lot. On top of that, power crushes are often punishable, sometimes launch punishable. The counter to me dancing for 5 seconds is really just pressing buttons and NOT being defensive lol

I try to do the dancing in lower ranks against spammers but it is pretty difficult to utilize her evasion, and to add that she doesn't have any power crushes in stances forcing me to just move a lot hoping their attacks whiff. Gonna watch more of your videos soon, thank you!
