despite how old & outdated this theory is, I'm very surprised you manage to predict the villain being the owner of Freddy Fazbear's & the later sci-fi elements of sister location & onwards + the theory of purple guy killing for immortality is a very good motive along with the springlocks being deliberately dangerous so he could get the robots possessed with no one batting an eye completely makes sense, even though me & most of the community don't think phone guy committed any of the killings it does make sense for him to be in on the guards being stuffed & Freddy's being a deathtrap knowing what we know about the company & you sorta predicting that William controlled Freddy & friends in the movie. all around, great job :)

A wonderful DM knows how to Introduce comedy into the game on occasion. One of my favorite shots was the characters set up am Ambush in a mist covered river. Using hollow reeds as breathing tubes, and their archers situated as flanking shooters ( good strategy). When their pursuers reached their side of the river they tripped the ambush and the fight was on! The fighters in the river went melee' and archers/ crossbowmen shot down any still on the opposite bank. When all the fighting was concluded the DM said, " Wait a minute. There is a swirl in the water next to you. You see eyes rising to the surface looking up." The character, wielding a mace (cleric) said, "HIT HIM!" Rolled a 17 to hit. SPLAT!! The cleric asked," I hit him didn't ?!" The DM said, " It didn't 'feel' like a him?....Reach down pick up what's there I guess,,,," The cleric reached down, and pulled up.....a bullfrog! The ensuing laughter is STILL echoing through that town! The druid wasn't pleased (fiercely trying to hold back his laughter, and wasn't very successful) sternly reminded the cleric of target identification before striking!!

Nightmare is Shadow Freddy as you know. It is known that Shadow Freddy feeds on people's souls (Shadow Freddy in World says that he will eat your soul). Souls in Fnaf are memories (the remainder are memories and emotions). Here I will take the interpretation of this theory from the side of MikeVictim. Mike (Mike has both Mikviktim and Mikbully, obviously memory problems, as seen in the logbook) lost memories of his past life due to a bite, during Fnaf 1, Cassidy tries to put back together Mike's memory by trying to contact through the logbook. We remember that nightmares of Fnaf 4 happens before the night shifts of Fnaf 1. We remember that Shadow Freddy eats souls. We remember that the soul is memories and emotions. Cassidy is trying to get Mike's memory back, and Shadow Freddy is trying to eat Mike's memories in his dreams.
@BlackfootFerret3 ай бұрын
Remnant is memories, and remnant drain also causes memory drain. In my theories, the soul of Henry's Daughter got split into two pieces, with the good half becoming the Puppet, while Henry/The Magenta Man carried off the other half after Take Cake to the Children to created JJ, the game's equivalent of Ella, Charlie's first form. There isn't just one Cassidy, there are two of them, and one of them became girl who got stuffed into Fredbear on June 26 and became Shadow Freddy.

Literally every theorist I know makes this mistake so I want you to hear this. The FNAF shifts are 12AM-6AM. The Dayshift that happens prior is actually the previous dates dayshift. The dayshift on the same date as the Nightshift would happen after it. Why does this matter? Because Phone Guy says the party is 'tomorrow' and the building is closed 'today'. Tomorrow isn't later that day, it's already past midnight, it's the 13th during Night 6. Tomorrow would be the Dayshift on the 14th(there is no Dayshift on the 13th, building is closed). Which means the Bite happens AFTER Fritz Smith's Night 7 shift, a couple hours after. Which means it happens AFTER Fritz Smith(who most people believe is Micheal Afton) tampered with all the animatronics and cranked them up to 20 mode. Which means that's what caused the bite. So that's, what, 2 bites that are his fault now? Who's counting?
@BlackfootFerret4 ай бұрын
I’ll have to carefully listen to the tape again, but if Phone Guy says tomorrow you have a point. Regardless, the Bite of ‘87 must be after Phone Guy’s last call, and before the building closes entirely. Everyone is accounted for, except Jeremy.
@BobbyHarkens4 ай бұрын
@@BlackfootFerret My point was the thing about the party happening on a day the place should have been closed isn't valid, neither is the thing about Fritz being there on a night that should be impossible. Night 7 is the morning before the bite. This also changes the implication of fault. If it's on a day where the place is closed and there's no explanation, Phone Guy looks suspicious as heck. But if it's the day after, that's less odd, and now we have a reason in the form of Fritz Smith setting everything to 20 just a few hours prior. "We have one more event scheduled for tomorrow, a birthday." It's already after midnight when this is said. So this has to be scheduled for the 14th, right after Night 7's shift.
@kalkuttadrop63714 ай бұрын
@@BlackfootFerret Do you still think Jeremy is an Afton and gets turned into an animatronic? The plot hole that indicated he was one is fixed by the stuff Darko pointed out(the party is no longer on a day the place is closed) and if Mike caused it during the custom night that’s now a clean narrative reason for it. In his efforts to fix things he’s caused yet a second incident, making things worse. Also, both in real life, Christian beliefs, the beliefs from Boseman, and FNAF stuff the frontal lobe holding the soul or consciousness isn’t really a thing. I get why that made sense way back in FNAF 2, but everything else in that old theory you no longer believe and some of the evidence was a bit weak. And now Jeremy has a role in the story, there’s increasing evidence he’s both Cassie’s dad and possibly even Help Wanted Jeremy. He has a motive and a role to play. And besides, every story needs an outsider. An Adrian Shepherd, a Frisk, someone who’s just as blind to everything else as the audience. And in the classic era, where it’s seemingly always Mike, there’s only one guy who fits the role.

@@kalkuttadrop6371 Please understand I've been learning more about FNAF constantly over the last 10 years, and my videos and theories have evolved in real time, and continue to do so even today. While The Summer Paradox -- the theory the FNAF 2 Night 1 is from Summer 1983 - is start part of my modern model, many other things in this video are obsolete. My most accurate video currently is the Timeline Speedrun, which attempts to explain both the timeline and the story in 82 minutes: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHaTo3-JiLZ2Z80 I'm making the FNAF Wiki version of this as we speak which should be even more focused, but will take a while to build all the relevant pages to make the video. I believe "Jeremy Fitzgerald" is a fake name used by Michael Afton, the younger brother, and the impossible FNAF 4 bite is a result of two closet versions of him (ie, Charlie's Four Closet system from the novels) both getting bitten in '83 and '87 and sharing their memories into one combined scene.

I feel now more than ever, with FNAF in a chaotic state with Matpat gone and Scott dealing with the Talbert hoax, that it might be a good idea to take a step back and do a reflection video on something where we know the right and wrong answers. Steven Universe. We know where the show ended up. We know what did and didn’t happen. We know what’s in the text as fact when it was all over. I very much enjoyed your monologue regarding it in the Afton Horcruxes video. You were prepared for the twist in a way most weren’t. But, and this is being critical as a fan… at the time you were riding the high just a bit too much. The video exactly a ‘total success’ and ‘proven correct.’ That’s a bit over generous. I’d argue the video is somewhere roughly in the 40%-40%-20% bucket, maybe 45%-45%-10%. You got a little under half bang on completely correct, in a way no one else did. You got a little under half completely and utterly wrong and were not on the right page. And there’s a small chunk that’s a little of both. Maybe the right conclusions with wrong evidence or circumstances? Or the right evidence taken in the wrong way due to a reading clues that didn’t exist? You absolutely deserve a victory lap for the entire first 10 minutes of the video. It’s 100% correct and could have saved the community a ton of strife. You can talk about how your methods lead to you coming to the correct ideas when so many others missed it. But, then you’d discuss the things you got wrong. And more importantly, why you think you did? Why didn’t you go straight to Pink Diamond IS Rose, straight up, and instead think power absorption was going on? Why assume floating meant a sapphire had been absorbed when it was simply a Diamond power we hadn’t seen yet outside of Steven/Pink. Why assume diamonds were held to the same shape shifting restrictions? Why take the events of Answer(being told by a biased source) as 100% fact and then assume Sapphire no longer being able to 100% predict the future was because of Rose having future powers(when in actuality it’s because Homeworld is so vigid and predictable there’s little room for variable, while the Earth idealized rebels broke the mold and so does just being on Earth). Or what you called fandom mindsets. Everyone in the SU fandom was solidly against Rose being Pink and had their own vision of her arc in their mind. You broke free of that, and saw the truth behind the specks. But… another extremely sweeping fandom mindset was that the Diamonds would have to be beaten by force and that Steven would soon cure the corrupted gems and get their help. This guided your conclusions as to the story’s direction. Unfortunately this time you fell into the fandom trap and it was wrong. The diamonds were reasoned with. Blue almost immediately and Yellow after getting her ship wrecked. Took less than 15 minutes. That was incorrect, though you were hardly alone here. Same with Sneeple being a thing that either fought or created the gems. Very popular among fans, turned out to not be true. Those mistakes were ones everyone was making, as apposed to stuff like Rose absorbing gems which was your thing and kind of leaned a bit too hard on the FNAF influence. That also might be a good set of things to discuss. In the ‘to be fair’ side of things, Steven Universe was not being run well behind the scenes. Infighting was a problem. There are numerous stories of writers trying to hijack things. Is it really you, and the community at larges fault for assuming the Diamonds had to be defeated with force and perhaps a whole rebel army when you had no real way of knowing half the clues were invalid and the result of writers and artists taking things in their own direction? That leads into the final inverse. How does one look at a story? Not every story with a mystery in it is a full blown mystery story per se, and not every mystery story is quite on the same tier. Full blown mystery stories where EVERYTHING ties into the lore absolutely exist. See Twin Peaks, FNAF, point and click detective games. But you’ve also got stuff like Gravity Falls and Deltarune, where the mystery is prominent, perhaps central, but its control isn’t total. Character and Comedy have their time to shine, and while they often overlap, this is not total. There are character moments in Gravity Falls that have nothing to do with the mystery and just exist to deepen the characters. There are moments in Deltarune that are just jokes or Toby Fox referencing his older works. That is perfectly allowed. Steven Universe I’d argue had two central mysteries. The S1 reveal of Garnet that was built up all season, and the S5 reveal of Pink Diamond that was mainly built up in S4 and S5, with smaller more sporadic hints earlier. These were not the full focus of the show, not even on a Gravity Falls level. S2 especially had basically no known major mystery to the fandom, it was about Peridot’s character arc and the cluster story. The problem is you need to adjust the size of your comb to the detail level of the work. Assuming everything is intentional and planned works great for Scott Cawthom and David Lynch. But the less and less central and dominating the mystery is, the more stuff there will be that isn’t for that. Gravity Falls even being mostly centralized to the mystery still occasionally had fans go down wild goose chases for things with no intent behind them. (Such as the NFPA 704 debacle). Steven Universe was even less centralized than Gravity Falls. One must perhaps ask themselves if the information they’re looking at is a clue to the mystery, a character development moment, a reference, or a comedic moment. This was further effected by the fact Steven Universe even moreso than Gravity Falls had a ton of different staff coming in and out. The series lasted over 150 episodes, artists and writers came and went, people with different ideas leaving and entering. This ALWAYs happens on large projects with this many people. To expect a Cawthon level of consistency would be impossible. Even David Lynch had things in Twin Peaks not always go to plan. If he can’t do it, Rebecca Sugar couldn’t. Especially since she had a notably hands off approach as usually joked about with the character scaling, but this lead to the issues of writers deviating that was brought up earlier. The fine toothed comb approach worked fantastically when you were sluezing in water with those gold nuggets, but when you strayed away from that things went awry. In the end, we all have bias. No one can get rid of them all. You came in willing to look at Pink Diamond and Steven’s powers with fresh eyes, and found patterns no one else had. But you also came in with bias from being neck deep in FNAF theorizing, and brought over tactics not built for a less mystery centered far less controlled and top down series like Steven Universe. The rules of the game are not quite the same. Rebecca Sugar never had a total monopoly on the series, that wasn’t her style for better and for worse. Outside of the core cast many writers especially earlier on had zero clue where the story was going. Pilot era lore that was abandoned and retconned showed up in S1A. Hints about the diamonds were invalid due to writers inventing them. Assuming everything meant something and every clue could genuinely be trusted was not the entirely right approach for a big series that lasted years with hundreds of people involved that wasn’t even a full blown mystery series. Those bias don’t make you better or worse than other SU theorists. You avoided one or two big ones they had and basically confirmed Steven had Pink’s powers in the first 10 minutes. Your FNAF oriented biases and expectations in story telling lead to you using that wrong and making mistakes a more SU centric theorist might not. And there are mistakes and biases you both made. Everyone thought the Diamonds would have to be taken by force. Everyone was wrong. How much of this is on fandom bias and how much on poor writer Managment? Impossible to say. No one is blameless. And hey, sometimes it’s a little of everything. The Cookie Cat evidence was not planned. It’s not on the official list of hints. But it pointed you in the right direction regardless. Steven floating was MASSIVE evidence, but not of Rose snacking on Sapphires. Stuff happens.

What works in a top down one man series may not work so well in a broadly run series with a ton of writers and artists who may or may not all be on the same page(And in Steven Universe's case, as story after story of the nightmare in the writers room comes out, they weren't).

The Book mentions that the Springtrap that left Fazbear's Fright is explicitly Dark Springtrap(which would imply it's RXQ in control after the fire knocked down Afton and ended the power struggle for the time), but by the time of FNAF 6(which could well be years later), Scraptrap's suit is heavily modified and it's explicitly, for the first time ever, just "William Afton" in the credits, which implies at the some point RXQ was either ousted forcefully or left of his own violition. It's interesting to note that Shadow Freddy and RXQ are explicitly not a pair, despite Scott's willingness to use fan names everywhere else. Shadow Freddy is based on Golden Freddy and Withered Freddy and is more often depicted as purple, while RXQ is usually black and is based on Toy Bonnie in both the FNAF 2 appearence AND the plush/EON spite in FNAF 3, though is purple in the Glitch01 game(and that one's filename IS literally the full RWQ minigame). Perhaps they eventually diverged in goals in some way, RXQ perhaps eventually forgiving and sympathizng with his own killer and giving him the tools to fight the bigger foe, while Shadow Freddy was vengeful til the last. After all, they were both lashing out in retaliation for a first crime, while Pink Guy's motives were purely selfish. Traitors are lower in the circle than mere murderers for a reason.

Why does Springtrap turn into Dark Springtrap when he leaves FNAF 3? Because Michael already rescued William from the suit, so RWQ/RXQ is the only thing left in there. It seems like simple math, but many people still don't believe another version of William exists, other than Springtrap, even though "Dave" got a job at the Pizzaplex and infiltrated the Sister Location facility before Michael did. This was what I hoped people would take away from the Two Williams video. But, of course, all anyone talks about is the ending.

And honestly for quite a while most people looked at FNAF that way. The issue is, I think it’s become increasingly clear no man is perfect. Even an expert writer would be unable to tell a story the size of FNAF and make everything 100% meaningful. And the Dawko interviews pretty much show Scott’s more of a ‘by the pants’ style writer. He plans one game ahead at most, he changes character designs or adds details just for the ‘rule of cool’. Things changed intent. The theorist community as a whole only recently realized that. You have to consider Doylist options for everything? Are the wires in FNAF 1 and 2 Ennard tentrils, or did Scott just think creepy dangling wires were a cool touch to add to the ambience. Was the Autobiography of a Yogi thing planned, or did he just grab the stock sound sample of someone reading an excerpt(which is a stock sound from the same site as laugh giggle girl 1) and then 2 years later after finding out from fans a different part of that chapter talked about metal having a soul to run with it when he went full sci fi?

@@kalkuttadrop6371 That approach works well for me with Steven Universe. Lots of little easter eggs suddenly started jumping out of the screen at me when I saw how the fit into my theories. Anything an artist deliberately adds to their work should be considered relevant. We're in no position to declare something not until the final answers are revealed.
