I'm a guitar teacher my opinion Your left hand is pretty good at moving around the 234 strings this is good technique. Picking hand Just remember a clock goes tick tock Tick is downstroke tock is up Just keep eye on 5th chords 1-5 is 7 frets C g D a Etc There is a great trick on tocks where you hit 1-5 on upwards stroke 34 open is a g 5 gd 45 is a D5 da You can play 432;down giving a g chord Those are little flick tricks when changing quick chords A lot of people don't work out the upstroke There is a thing called alternative chords 1;3 5 is a chord of the pattern started with a 3 361 or 5 13 if you add these afterwards it opens the floodgates and make things easier. Also a lot of time it's 4/4 sometimes it's easier to count in 2s instead of 4s this helps with 17,th notes or slow blues feel

60 days not possible. I would say 1 year for the basics, if you play every day. 10 years to master. Besides, it looks like a lesson. The focus should always be on having fun. Try something new and not a program that tells you, no, no, you played it wrong. maybe wrong sounds better

I haven't played jak 3 in years and just played it recently and have to disagree with you on the soundtrack. I admit it didn't stand out to me as much playing it when i was younger but after recently playing it i think the ost was an absolute masterpiece. It fit the game scenario well as it had many war or end of the world post apocalyptic theme scattered throughout the game. It really added to what was going on in the game.

From what i seen, People do enjoy Rocksmith+, but the *big* issue that cause so many to turn away is the subscription model. It really needs to do away with it, or at the *very* least, offer a reasonably price one-time payment (Say like $20) for all features. Untill then, people are just going to continue to turn away from it sadly.

I can only agree with others here. Not every game is designed for different difficulty settings. Some games are just what they are and what you see is what you get.. Games like Dark Souls are build around the role play game mechanics to level up and distribute points to your stats to build your character. Farming for items and equipment is also a core mechanism in these games overall. Final Fantasy VIII did a good example where the player decides how much he wants to level up which also increased the difficulty as enemies leveled up too. It further effected the items you can collect to upgrade your party or your GFs. You could also just forgo most grinding and simply enjoy the story. Sorry that Dark Souls is not such a game. And yet the difficulty is determined by your style of play. Saw a video from a guy named Ryu on youtube and he just breezed through Dark Souls. So what would a difficulty slider have changed?

Idk I feel like comparing breasts to dick is a very apples and oranges comparison. Media has never treated the two as being in the same as far as what is appropriate for a specific rating. In short dicks aren’t shown because it would’ve caused the game to receive an AO rating and to this day all three console manufacturers have made it a policy to not publish adult only games on their consoles although if you look at the switch E shop it’s kinda hard to tell these days so I’m being real. But yeah that’s not an equality issue. The game wouldn’t have been a release given policies. I’ve been playing video games for many years and I’ve never seen an attached penis in one. The most is sex toys. GTA wouldn’t even pull that trigger. It’s why no matter how much titties are in a game you will never see cooter. 😂

late 2024 update: ubisoft has removed rocksmith 2014 from shelves completely in an effort to push Rocksmith minus. I had R2014, its how I learned, I lost the console and game and am just now reacquiring the time and funds to dedicate to guitar, and to my dismay I can't even get rocksmith 2014 again. Ubisoft, sincerely, fuck you.

Not bad for two months in! Great vid and glad you've kept going. With my only knowledge of Rocksmith being this video, it sort of seems this game would be better suited for someone closer to the intermediate level. Like someone who already has basic chords and barre chords down, and is ready to start taking on some lead ideas/techniques. But on the other hand, it's a good thing if it successfully gets a beginner's foot in the door and keeps him/her interested.

I've reached the point where if I put in 10 hours and don't get at least 8 hours worth of progress I punish the Devs by not buying the game, refund and leave a bad review. Video games are the only product in which users get shamed, humiliated and criticised for not having access to the full potentiality of a product. Doesn't happen anywhere else

I've reached a point decades ago where I know right away whether I like a game or not, totally independent of the amount of progress I make. When I played Dark Souls the first time I didn't go anywhere for some hours. But after that I went through it like a hot knife through butter. People like you who lack patience and the mind to understand a game don't deserve being called gamers. At least be honest with yourself.

I heavily agree on the world's RNG messing up players. There's one minute-thirty race mission that requires you to go from the other side of the market to the Underground's base that took me over an hour to beat. Every time, it was because the speeder hit something, usually on the highway turns, or I slowed down too much to avoid traffic on the highway. Each time I was getting so fucking close to the end, but the time that finally allowed me to win, was one where it shit out a bunch of speeder bikes on the highway for me to weave between, and I still almost lost it because I blew the speeder up on the vehicle that spawns outside the hideout.

“Rule of Play” Normal difficulty must be played or selected first before, “Real Play Ranking”is activated. After your 1st death on normal mode, “Hard difficulty” is then used to determine your skill level for, “True Play”. 1st death on hard difficulty counts as true defeat in game. Continued play through deaths must be accrued, and tallied for total skill once game is completed on, “Hard mode”. Deathtracker determines your level of skill. Deathtracker 1 death. (Rank Master) 2-3 Deaths (Rank Expert) 4-6 deaths. Rank Professional) 7-10 deaths. (Rank Skilled) 11-15 deaths. Rank Amateur) 16-25 deaths. Rank Average) 26-35 deaths. Rank Beginner) 36-50 deaths. I've been marathoning the GoW series and watching your retrospectives for each one and I'm loving it, and while I agree with the broad strokes, there are a lot of points you bring up that either don't make sense to me/that I don't really see as a big issue or that are just flat out wrong. Starting from the minor stuff to bigger plot points - Kratos isn't really shown as someone who researches or plans a lot, he lives very much in the moment so it'd be extremely odd to have the opening of this game be him in reading glasses walking around in a library going over books to look up his family history...also why would the olympians keep his family history in a book somewhere to begin with? A lot of greek myths are fueled by prophecies, dreams, visions and illusions. This is no different and is pretty par for the course for a greek myth story. Kratos doesn't have the golden fleece here, he gets it in GoW II. In GoW I he's able to parry just with his blades. No other god blames him for his brother's death, they just tell him to move the fuck on. And of course Kratos has misplaced guilt about it, he's a Spartan. It (at least in the game's universe), is the peak of hyper-masculine mad warrior archetype, of course he thinks that as a kid he should've been able to protect his brother. Also, he could only see the silhouettes of Ares and Athena, he clearly didn't know who they were before talking to Athena's statue. Also - nobody cares about Kratos to begin with, why would they try to placate his guilt or make him feel better? They just don't want him interfering with their business - or at best, *help* their business no questions asked. They don't give a shit about what he thinks or how he feels. Also no, if Deimos died there, it doesn't necessarily mean Kratos could take a quick dip into Hades and pick him up - otherwise he would've done this for his family long ago. Despite the repeated trope of him escaping from the underworld, he only ever escapes because his physical body is still there for him. In GoW I, it's Zeus who saves him before he can reach the underworld completely, in GoW II it's Gaia, and in GoW III he doesn't really die (another mistake you made in that retrospective - it's never implied that he dies, he just directly falls into Hades' domain - which could very well be intentional by Hades himself in order to separate Kratos from the overall war and take him out himself). If you die, you likely become a shade like the ones in Elysium, or go to Asphodel or Tartarus if you don't deserve Elysium itself. Also, Deimos is probably that powerful and has those gauntlets because he was taken by Ares (and it's implied he's also the son of Zeus). It was said that whoever the 'marked' human is controlled by will have the power to destroy olympus, which is why they were looking for those humans anyway - not to kill them but to bring them under their control. Ares probably trained him, gave him those gauntlets and tested him to see if he really was the marked human, and once Kratos came into the scene and it became obvious that Deimos was not the one in the prophecy, Ares probably tossed him aside. I doubt he would've even known that the two were brothers. Zeus says "There's only one left" because Kratos is the only remaining "marked" mortal who the prophecy could be referring to. Deimos is dead, and Callisto too (in case that caused any loose ends). It's been said that after Kratos opened Pandora's box, fear took over Zeus and so he clearly was trying to dissuade Kratos from going on this path. Seeing him so steadfast in wanting to defy the gods probably made him that much surer that Kratos needs to die too, hence inciting the scheme Zeus pulls off in the beginning of GoW II. That's clearly what's being referred to in that post credits scene. A lot of your other nitpicks kinda feel like cinemasins level stuff which I don't particularly wanna engage with, but overall I do agree that at least the Greek Mythology era of the GOW games really glosses over a lot of details and does not really care about the 'how' or even the 'why' of a lot of aspects in the story, and mostly just engages in the most superficial of plot points, but I still don't think that it's *THAT* inconsistent and calling every single detail that the game just chooses not to delve into as a plot inconsistency. Sometimes it's just something not really worth Anyway, regardless, love your retrospectives, just thought i'd throw out some of my own thoughts into the ether.

I do VERY strongly agree that in the flashbacks Kratos should've been the frail one. It would've been so much more interesting, giving an additional dimension to his guilt about not protecting his brother, and to his hunger for power and ruthlessness because he never wants to feel that weak again - plus the gods picking the stronger looking one of the two.

You havent learned to play guitar buddy. There is no musicality in your playing at all. Maybe taking a time to play songs by yourself(without rocksmith) would help to tap into the feel of the music. You have no rhythm yet. Rhythm is first thing you need to develop the sense for. But the song in the end had everything a musician need to be. I dont know how you did it.

The pricing is absolute insane even today with new updates. They had to take 2014 off the market to get some people to buy their subscription service. I played 2014 on my xbox for nearly a decade and recently got a gaming pc. I was devasted to see that instead of being able to spend 40$ and use the custom forge I would have had to buy a key that might not even work for over 120$. Yet even with the price I still bought it instead of going with +. Also arpeggios are easier to read in 2014.
