I'm blown away to have made it into your top ten again 😊 Don't worry - B4RC05 Ign4T doesn't mean anything rude - it's a play on 'Ship' from the Spanish 'Barco' and 'Fire' from the Slavic 'Ignat' which pertains to an entity which controls fire. The reason being they are the Enginseer on the Sump Skiff, and their main solution to problems or enemies is dousing them in 'dubyadee' to fix them... Or set them alight!

As a big fan of Warhammer setting i have been looking for a perfect game mechanics to run it. WFRP 1st and 2nd editions were not bad but i was always overwhelmed with the crunch. In general i prefer "lighter" systems. This video was amazing and i really hope you will continue. If you do i would like to see your take on Warhammer with Shadow of the Demon Lord mechanics since this is something I am preparing to run. May the Sigmar's blessing shines upon you 😊

Welp, pre-made gangs were allowed too? If I had known, I wouldn't have entered my "cobbled together and painted in 2 days" gang! But these are fantastic and everyone would deserve to win this.

Yeah this year as it was the first year we let peeps enter that way. But they were not as heavily weighted as the ones made for it as adhering to rolls was a factor in the judging. And 7/10 were made for the comp.

Yeah it would be near impossible to know if people enter pre-made stuff or not, so they need to be included. I visited everyone’s Instagram that entered that way and did my best to check and make notes of that and when we sat down and judged off camera separately and together that was an important part of judging, we put a lot of emphasis of the importance of build for comp but at the same time didn’t want to not include people that wouldn’t have as much time or resources to do so. In the rules Hamilton mentioned the tables where optional and just for fun. I reiterated that too in all my posts. We will be taking this feedback to heart though, we have learned a lot of hard lessons this year. We did this contest out of love n respect for the community and I have spent a lot of hours upon hours on it just as Hamilton has. Before the contest was even half over I was rewriting the rules for next years with the fine toothed comb of a GW games lawyer & I’m sure I’ll still mess up, but you can be assured that this is no hack job. 😅❤😊 again - thanks for the feedback!

It wasn't really a criticism. I just stressed myself out for very little reason. Besides: Even my slow-burning work couldn't compare to some of the ones shown here. Will there bee a people's choice for the entire gang?

@@MarkusJackDijkgraaf no unfortunately not, if people only entered a gang, we selected selected minis from them to move into the, single mini category, then the top 25 of the single mini category was used for the people’s choice otherwise there would have been far too many options for people to vote on at a glance at there was 160 in total.

Confused by the feedback on the Harkonnen themed warband being not scifi enough, partly because there are no guns...I'm sure you said at the start that the person said they rolled the "swords only" category. So while other sci-fi elements could have been worked in, it was a shame to hear that being the main criticism 😔

That is a fair point. I think the chaps felt it lacked that vibe of sci-fi in a few ways. Though that can be necromunda. But tbh its made it to the top 10; and with that it was hard to find many faults! 😅 we were struggling to find them for many of these as they are all incredible. Glad you pointed it out though; we will take it on board as we decide. and its still in the running for the win. Its an absolutely great gang!

@@Le_Petomane please feel confident to enter next year, we judged by converting, theme, efforts on dice rolls, supporting narrative written, painting, imagination, made for comp or not ect. We didn’t just look at who would be on a GW boxset promise. 😅

Got the 4th edition rulebook but its badly written….cant work out how casting a spell and channeling works at all, there isnt even an example in the magic section 🤦🏻♂️

They're quite smaller though. Make sure you prop them of on a rock or debris on the base so they'll have around the same bulkiness.

I like the look of the trikes, no two ways about it. I think they might be the best looking bikes GW have ever made. I particularly like the way the new tires have a nod to the originals while looking distinctly more practical. Very tempted to get some and convert them, but I'm already working on a squadron of shortened old-style tauroses. Well, there'll be time.

my feelings exactly with terrain, I do NOT want to paint terrain. 2nd edition cardboard was great for me then and now lol. I have mdf terrain and could always use more.

That was a good watch! There is a book called Wargaming Campaigns by Henry Hyde that is about running wargames in a more detailed manner so that the battles are more authentic and organic. In one of his example campaigns he uses Warhammer Fantasy RPG and Warhammer Fantasy Battles to create a very dynamic and detailed campaign that plays out in multiple levels of detail.
