If you dig deep into the Bible, you will come to realize that all of it is hidden meanings stationed around the Word of God and the Word of man. Picking of the fruit of the tree of knowledge. The root of all knowledge is the threefold word that lives within us all, The unseen Thought which no man has ever seen at anytime, except for the only begotten son who was revealed to the world and made Manifest as the fleshly Thought the Written word. God created the Heavens and the Earth with the Spoken word in 6 days and made mankind in the image and the likeness of itself, thus making us a contemplative thinking, speaking, and later a written word scribbling being, but mankind misused the Word and programmed the mind wrongly causing confusion after being tempted. This confusion had to happen in order for knowledge of the word to come forth mainly by the Prophets. The Strongest Prophets of the Word dwelt inn Silence and wrote concerning the wicked misuse of the Word, and the power of observation and honoring the Word of hosts. In 6 days the word spoke all things into existence and rested in silence on the 7th day, sanctifying it as a Holy day to the Word. Mankind loves to Babylon, all we hear is vocal music and talking in all forms of communication, gossip, slander, hate, feardriven media ect. The Word has flooded the earth but yet we are saved because Love still exists. Why do I come to this conclusion of the Biblical text? It's the Stone the builders rejected out of ignorance, Isaiah 6v5-10 declared it properly.

Interesting to note that the standard maximum became "40 Lashes less one," so 39 lashes. (Even Saint Paul spoke of receiving 40 lashes less one.) I wonder if there was an ambiguity in the original Hebrew as to whether it might have meant "not 40 or more" or "not more than 40" depending on context. Always wondered about that. I'm also reading the Bible cover to cover, Old Testament and New Testament. Currently in Joshua and in Luke. God bless you sir.
