NSW has the highest uplift of children in Australia and Australia has a higher up life per capita than USA...... I for one do not believe that we in NSW Australia reflect that statistic. For example we as Australians compared to USA have an exemplary health care system and support system and I also do not find Australians in general are overly abusive to children nor have a particularly "child abusive" culture quite the opposite prevalent in our communitys is dcj docs FACS underpinning these uplifts without ensuring children and families are well provided for with all the help and services exhausted before decisions are made to impact communities families and children with the most times devistating separations..... the child protection services in Australia have had alot to answer for and a long history of historical abuse and uplift policys running unchecked for far too long . uplifting children for too long after little or no effort has beenade for restoration and without transperancy ( no one to answer to!!! ) This service needs to be monitored closely dcj have been getting away with driving up these statistics for far too long . Families and children left devestated and young people in care who should not have been seperated hurt and abused continues the cycle. More changes and checkpoints need to be in place to safeguard families from the totalitarian effects of the forced separations.

Hello, I am Michael. You are totally correct in this summary. Our mother Valerie enjoyed coming back to her home for over 9 years after the transfer. She called it respite care. Her hostel was a rather depressing place.

Seems to be a common theme that social housing don't advocate for their tenants. In my experience of having repeatedly made to live ostensibly off grid (without water or power) within Sydney, due to their glacial repair responses and ability to misrepresent to NCAT, there needs to be better accountability. Be advised not for profit ≠ non profit. They stillake a (whopping) profit, its just not distributed to shareholders - they keep it themselves. 😒
