I read about Socrates and Plato emphasizing the separation of mind and body and other philosopher like Rene Descartes about "I think, therefore I exist" phrase. Make me question doubt the existence of mentally ill person, a crazy so called. do you think that person mentally person exist in this world? some might say yes they exist while I say no it doesn't. Just think of it a mentally ill person is alive in flesh and body but is not consciously aware of what his doing where he has no self identity or self concept. His body is alive but his mind is dead, which comes make me question the relationship between the soul and consciousness. The soul and consciousness is linked together, meaning the soul or our own self concept or being aware of ourselves are souls that contain our own personality and wisdom. If this soul doesn't exist in our body anymore then we don't' exist anymore in this physical world in other words that personally ill person is considered dead. That how I interpret Rene Descartes phrase about "I think, therefore I exist". Another example are those people that are being possessed by evil, have you wonder why their behavior is so different than the victim? take note that the victims behavior and personality is so different than the possessed body of the evil soul. what happen here is that the soul of the victim was out of his body and been replaced by the evil soul which contained the personality, behavior and self identity of that evil soul which is what we usually see on a possessed body. so basically the body was just mere object that our soul is using. This interpretation of mine make me question more if Socrates, Plato and other philosophers are instrument of God or an evil, which is impossible to comprehend as we are mortal and that is beyond our own human understanding. What do you think?

I had a really really bad confession last year, then later i found out that i wasn't the only one who had that experience. Then i find out why. The priest was from the trad tradition and was a particular fan of padre pio who was known for yelling at penetents in the confessional. Not to mention, Protestantism is very divided among itself also. There are some Protestants that reject the Holy Trinity (Jehovah’s Witnesses and United Pentecostal Church). Some Protestants do not believe in a place called Hell (Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses). Even the Baptists (largest Protestant denomination) is divided among itself as well. To be honest, the Roman Catholic Church is the true Church of Jesus Christ. No matter which Catholic Parish you go to, the teachings are very consistent and the Mass is done the same way.

I am not religious but concerning Christianity only the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church members are actual Christians. Clearly, Protestantism is a heresy of Christian Doctrine / Theology but more importantly it rejects the basic teachings of Jesus the Nazarene who was a reformist Jew.

If we are to follow the early church examples “in addition to the scriptures” and not in light and comparison of the scripture, how do you explain Origen and his universalist view? The video speaks of 2-3 century not 5th when his writings on universalism were deemed heretical. The point is you are just claiming facts without proving in terms of the addition of church tradition to scripture especially when it comes to salvation. The early church without the scriptures would be a mess on anything OTHER THAN THE ESSENTIALS OF THE FAITH. Catholicism is just a modern version of Judaism that went wrong. Jesus continuously bashes the traditional teachings that Jewish teachers have added to the law to “make the path to salvation” difficult. You do the same by calling people who profess Christ to be Lord and believing in one God for their justification as heretics. May His Holy Spirit give us grace in the way we treat His Word and revelations.

I am a Coptic Christian and it seems to me the protestant completely misunderstands the sacramental economy, and the ecclesiology of the Church. Either they say all the sacrements are symbolic such as baptists and evangelicals, or they mistakenly believe everyone has the authority to administer the sacrements like lutherans, and methodists.
