I started your ESRI cartography MOOC class 6 days ago (April 4th, 2024, a day after the first class). I'm looking forward to learning more from your wisdom regarding mapping and the *clear* and functional representation of data, similar to how you have described in this video. Thanks!

Such a well thought and designed visualisation. What a talent. Not just presenting the information in an easily understandable format which perfectly provides then narrative that she wants to convey, but also considers the moral implications of publishing data - something often overlooked by journalists. Not sure about the relevance of the question from the audience member - surely under 18s are not the main viewers/reviewers, but those people who were in their teens during the 90s. Well worth watching at least an extra time just to note the cat in the background trying to steal the show.

I really like Jamie Beason explanation about theory and execution with color blindness choices. Sometimes, it´s not possible create the ideal scenario; the client not necessarily will change and wants an alternative for the two ways of seeing it.

Thanks Jill, Nadieh, Curran, and Zan. This was a great introduction to D3. Having primarily used the visualization libraries in R and Python, I'm interested in learning how to incorporate D3 to take my visualizations to the next level. I'm particularly interested in using D3 in Shiny applications. Looking forward to more insightful videos. Thanks again. PS: Don't forget to share the link to Nadieh's and Zan's "baby" project.

The cow one (which I like as it is, FWIW) could also have been impactful if the cow bar was reshaded in a Friesian-style black and white pattern.
