This is what SMT for the PC Engine CD should’ve sounded like.

TrojanHorse711's remix is SNES accurate while this is basically like if the PC Engine CD version got injected with high quality Skooma and went fuckin runnin' a marathon

Love the fast tempo here, really punchy - i just might prefer it's chunky and speedy sound to the SFC version! Reminds me also of really good Mega Drive tracks, which have this meaty bass.

I absolutely adore seeing more older Megaten love. Now if it only it would also happen in modern Atlus, like c'mon you're telling me that music dept is going to squander Daedalus from MT2???? Silly tangent aside this is a great cover

Really awesome! Got me pumped up. This is such a cool track, I remember hearing it for the first time as a Nocturne battle theme (a remix of it). Super cool rendition! I never made the N163 sound this good unfortunately D:

Awesome version. I'm curious though, any reason you prefer nsdlib over trackers?
@vasteel_2 жыл бұрын
the note editor seemed pretty clunky to me (lol triplets) and I have years of PMD experience under my belt so it was fairly easy to carry it over to nsdlib. it's just preference really, there's nothing inherently wrong with trackers if you can get used to the workflow. I keep famitracker around for instrument/envelope editing for convenience even though I don't write music in it. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@thekinghasnoname48582 жыл бұрын
@@vasteel_ That makes sense and doing triplets in trackers is really a pain indeed so I do get your point. I'm still going to try getting used to it though. Anyway, you do good stuff and I'm fairly impressed by your methods and attention to detail so you earned a new subscriber!!!

I often forget that Touhou started on PC98 until I hear a track based around it. Then it all just comes blasting bank into my head
