Photos are not artwork, just images... using programs dosnt make you an artist, AI is just another cheat for wannabe artists to pretend they have a talent when really do not.
@MimasArtwork6 күн бұрын
No one said this was an artwork, if you saw the whole video you would see that I showed people how to generate reference images that they can use as an inspiration or a reference to practice drawing or for the AI to help them out in generating the idea that they have in their minds so they can draw it and not be afraid of copyright infrigements. Not every artist draws and paints from their imagination, so for the ones who need reference images, I think it’s a great source to get one as AI is here to stay, we might as well use it then. 😊

The type of art that is under existential threat from AI tends to be high-skill, modest-scale, low-materiality, and cliche-imagery. So any "beautiful woman with pouty lips + surrealist element" handmade art has been made obsolete. Artists need to get physical with their materials and strange with their forms to defend against AI encroachment.
@MimasArtwork7 күн бұрын
I agree that artists need to get physical with their art materials but there is nothing wrong in pulling inspiration from AI and getting some reference photos to make our lives a bit easier. We were getting into issues such as copyrights infrigements, we were forced to follow trends and do everything we could possibly do to be noticed on social media-making us all the same, so if we can make our lives easier- at least to get some reference photos that we want- I don't see the reason why not use it.
@conflictionated3877 күн бұрын
@@MimasArtwork Actually, I totally agree. I'm a painter and use AI to generate sources. I don't think that fearing or judging new technology accomplishes anything. My point is that AI is a great "averager" so for artists to stand out in the upcoming tsunami of perfect-looking AI images, they have to make their imagery comparatively strange lest they disappear in the flood.

It's great to see more artists learning to adapt to AI and use it in their workflow. You're right. AI is here and it's never going away. It's time for artists to learn to use it, not try to hide from it. Speaking of Midjourney, you can actually make it even better for yourself. If you click on that 'task' button on the sidebar you can choose 'rank images'. Rank images gives you a pair of images generated by the community, and you click on the one you like most. When you rate 200 images you're generated a special personalized 'style' based on the art you personally like most. You can then generate new images using that style (the more you rank, the more specific and strong your style becomes). This is unprecedented levels of inspiration and reference. Not only is it like a personalized pinterest feed, but it's algorithmically adapted to be exactly your taste in art, which is even more likely to inspire you and be what you're looking for. If you'd like better anatomy, you may want to try some other sites - Flux Pro is a new photo realistic art generator that you can use for free at certain sites (like Glif) that doesn't struggle with anatomy as much, and Dall-E 3 (which you can access for free in Bing Image Creator) is incredibly powerful and creative, and really good at following prompts. Both of those don't keep a log of generated images (DallE does but it's not permanent) but they are very good.

Did not talk about why we are even watching this video in the first place just said all the ordinary things people say when making this type of video so I’ll ask how’s the money going to look like I’m not a fool I know it will suck in the beginning but dame show some numbers lol
@MimasArtwork7 күн бұрын
Well, we have the right not to show our earnings, right? :D We can guide you up until the point where we feel safe, you don't feel obliged to say to everyone how much money you earn on your job, so even though we are youtube creators, there is no obligation for us to show and be completely transparent about how much money do we earn, the amount of earnings for each and every channel is different, so showing you that won't have any difference to your channel in particular, that will only depend on your content, your own audience and your amount of views, retention, etc. so yeah, I gave you the basic reason why you should open your youtube channel, motivation and inspiration, this video was not about analytics and my personal income. :)

@@-Belshazzar- So do you think AI "art" is being trained ethically without being fed artwork from artists without their permission? If it is, then that's fine and I take my comment back
@-Belshazzar-16 күн бұрын
@@TBContent24 there are so many ai models and companies, some indeed did train their models without artists permission, but some didn’t. but i will ask you this, let’s assume i am a human artist, who watched many art pieces by many artists all my life, at a certain age i start my own art career, do you think i as a human is not influenced by the artists i have seen? don’t you think the greatest artists of all time were inspired by and learned from other great artists? many times without their knowledge? how is that different? the ai doesn’t create a copy of the artists it learned from, it is merely “inspired” by (for a lack of a better word) i am not saying that companies who trained their models without the artists consent are ok, but you coming here generalizing AI art as theft is complete bolocks

Amazing thank you! Does the paper affect the quality of the colors? I have FaberCastel colors yet when I added the oil the colors became much more vibrant! is it normal?
@MimasArtwork7 күн бұрын
yes, that's completely normal, any kind of solvents give colored pencil some extra vibrancy, that is completely normal :) and when it comes to the paper, sometimes it does yes. you need a paper that has a decent amount of tooth in it, so some bristol papers are good for colored pencils, also some watercolor hot pressed papers, or some cotton papers :) depends what do you want to achieve with your drawings, but yes, papers can help in getting better results for sure :)
