Hello, nice video btw. Quick question, does the 3d scanner allow the user to upload the file into the 3d printer? Can you print the scanned object? If so, how is the quality of print?

After several years scratching my head and pulling my hair out with Ender 5 plus's (biggest waste of money so far in my 3D printing history) I brought a cheap as chips Kingroon KP3S which was brand new but assembled, That little thing amazed me for a few prints, The replica parts all started wearing together and turned it into another constant mod machine. Its now happy with a Creality efit extruder and a real E3D volcano hotend or a Spider hotend from Creality. But when i see the A1 for £268 i had to have a go. And im very glad i did. What a machine.... for a bedslinger. I will defiantly be buying more of these machines when i get shot of my previous nightmares.

I’ve had a k board in a printer and it was a nightmare. Kept fighting to make it work and when it did, I always had something wacky happen. Honestly the one i have is straight garbage. Support for them is a joke and they leave it up to the community in a fb group. When i showed the issues i was laughed at or told i don’t have that problem. I gave up and put an skr 1.4 turbo with klipper, has ran flawlessly since. Clearly it was me. 😂

But what about the fan noise specifically? Just got myself an MK4 - it prints good, the printer itself is reasonably quiet too, the obnoxious part is the nextruder fan running full speed with the PLA, I will see if I can tweak it down (well, not washing machine level, it lets me watch a movie ;like 2 meters away). Now, sadly ex post I realized the Bambu mini would not have been a bad alternative, considering my needs and the price levels. Noise, tho, is a quite important aspect as I reside in a small apartment. I am not sure what is considered "awesomely quiet" in the 3dp world, only saw an enclosed Bambu in a maker faire like 2 years ago and it was then a no for me. So what would you say? Is the mini`s(!) fan(!) quieter than that of MK4?

I'm just blown away at the A1's speed. I've been out of the loop using a Creality CR-2 from YEARS ago and I'm seeing what the kids are doing now.... WOW. No more manual bed leveling? What? No more worrying about first layer's? ... The printer just works?!... ...Just purchased the A1 Combo and 9 spools matte filament.... It's like racing a 1972 Chevy truck and then someone letting you drive their Tesla Plaid edition..... Wow how things over the last 3-4 years have changed.... I'm buckling up cos multi color is just so AWESOOME!

The filter you refer to is not to keep your motherboard clean. It removes Volatile Organic Compounds, otherwise known as VOCs, these are produced when the filament is heated, and are a danger to our health. The Activated Carbon Air Filter absorbs the VOCs. My understanding is that the intention is to protect our brain, and lungs. Trust the coughs better. Apart from that, an interesting video.

Did you dry the filament? Did you tune in after drying it? I have a P1S and tune all my filaments using orca slicer and I've had great results. I haven't yet tried this filament, but am thinking about ordering it as Sunlu PETG is consistently our of stock...
@CharlesSnyder
@CharlesSnyder 24 күн бұрын
Your filament is wet. If you're not using an AMS, then use something like Creality's dryer. I've the same printer and using that drier. I print PETG all day with it. I've tried it without, it won't print nice. The surface finish absolutely says wet filament.

My only criticism is the "exhaust pipes" you've gone to the effort to put a muffler / baffle on the exhaust of the fan and then stuck exhaust pipes on the output of the muffler. Those pipes will act as a resonant chamber and serve to increase the total noise from the system.

Looking at Bambu as I have a creality K1C and it sucks! Had nothing but problems, and when I tried to return they just made me jump through hoops which ending in me just being stuck with it. So that's getting throw out my window, can't wait to see it smash into a million pieces. I like the look of the A1's
@razorseal
@razorseal 25 күн бұрын
That's a shame. I just bought a K1C and I can't get it to fail unless I do something wrong like spool gets tangled, or run out of filament and try to do a cold pull etc.

@@razorseal after 5 months I managed to fix it myself as they was making me run around in circles. There was a screw missing inside that holds one of the mechanisms tighter. It prints perfectly now, it is a good printer, it's just Creality are a bad company. They have seriously bad quality control, and they will do anything to avoid a refund. They were literally just giving me generic copy and paste replies on every email I sent. They must have sent me the same 3 repair videos 10 times
