Because they were so late in starting i had to take off early so i could catch the last train but I'm curious did the drummer make it to the end of the set?ol mate looked like he was cooking in there.
@sloppyjocks
@sloppyjocks 2 ай бұрын
@ryantrack1453 He did but looked absolutely rooted by the time it ended. I also think the set was cut short by a song or two due to the late start. I'm not sure what caused all that to happen. It was an absolute joke.

As much as I love Nicko and the guys for trying to keep up the tempo, it is my humble opinion to say that I think at this level he should step away and retire. My heart is broken just to think about it but the band doesn’t sound the same the vibe is not the same and I like he is struggling to keep up with the rest of band. Thank you Nicko for 40+ years but I think its time….😢

I could be wrong but with nickos drumming being affected by his stroke and the bands age, i feel like one final world tour might be on the cars. I wish maiden did what Metallica are doing with their no repeat weekends, 2 shows with no repeats , Imagine how epic that would be for maiden,

@@KillerPowerslave Yes I too was aware of that which is fine if he needs to do that, but to me it sounded like even with those adjustments he struggled for much of the show, especially in transitional parts of the songs. I wouldn't mind a fill in drummer if it meant he could chill at home. Even just the world travel would be hard on him, and the rest of them, and that's despite it being done at the highest level of comfort.

@@forever3797 this is very disappointing to hear. I am seeing them twice in November and I am very concerned about how he might sound. To me he sounded better by the end of the first leg. But now people are saying differently. Maybe he will get better as the shows go on. Stroke or not he is a bit older than them, and this kind of show takes its toll.

@@KillerPowerslave Hard to know. Bruce said they had two days off in Brisbane before they played. Nicko also may have been sick with cold/flu, as everyone at their level has to go onstage if at all possible.
