12:13 - 1964 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door sedan. The 63 and 64 full size are the most ignored Mopars. They share most of the body with forward looks (just without fins), and are just not yet designated "C" in the VIN, even though most of the mechanicals are common to pre-fuselage C bodies. The perfect example of "rare but nobody cares" cars. Sad.

Lancers, and Valiants were offered with the 3-speed floor shift and the 3-speed Torqueflite. NO 4-speeds were offered.

Haha ya I’ve heard them called million mile engines for a reason. I’d love to build one for horsepower. The owner of the yard has a aluminum slant six that I keep trying to get him to part with.

Yep, I believe all of them are, they are listed on their website if you google wildcat auto wrecking. A 1962 Dodge Lancer Gt is one of my dream cars so I hope to buy one off them in the future.

Yeah you know it's funny have the cars you think are for speeds will built before Chrysler even offered a four-speed transmission those are three on the floors
@mopar_magic
@mopar_magic Жыл бұрын
Ya my bad, it's just my way of calling them a manual. I see Chrysler didn't start using the 4-speed A833 till 1962 so you are correct, the lancers are all 3-speeds.

I just don't get stacking cars on top of each other, even if they are parts cars..just destroys them, if you are so hurting for space you have to stack them, time to get rid of some...I wonder how old the guy is that owns these?...if he is getting on in age, this stuff will almost certainly be crushed when he passes...seen it time and time again. All the heirs want is the property cleaned up to sell, and as quickly as possible..very few want to take the time required to actually try to sell the cars and parts....
@mopar_magic
@mopar_magic Жыл бұрын
They stack them so they don't have to crush them unlike some yards. I'd rather see a dent in the roof of some of them than cubes of metal sent to China to be turned into EV's. The guys who owns the place (business) is always willing to sell them instead but the demand is never quite in line with supply.

4:00..that Dodge truck looks like a '77..has the clear parking lights/turn signals..'78 was the same except they had amber parking light lenses...'79-'80 had a different grill and a completely different hood that was used up until the end of the line in '93, and they reverted to the parking lights in the panel below the grill, so definitely not a '79...

79-80 had stacked rectangle quad headlights. 81 was a cab and dash change .
@dyer2cycle
@dyer2cycle Жыл бұрын
@@garyhouse4432 '79-'80 had stacked quad rectangular headlights for the top of the line models, and optional on some midline models...standard models still got round single headlights(which are much more common to see) and a grill setup similar to the '72-'76 models. Very similar to how it was done on the '81-'87 Chevy trucks...

A parking lot of great projects, hopefully some more of those gems get resurrected. What a collection of parts and projects, well done to them for such organization and attempts to preserve those that are salvageable and thank you so much for the tour. We're I a rich man I'd be tackling one of the old 'Cuda's, man they have nice lines imho. Place should have some sort of motor-head museum tour thingy :P Great vid!

Yeah, concentrate entirely on cars from the 60's, 70's, and even early '80's..even common ones...and just walk on by the '50's DeSotos, Chryslers, etc...would have been much more interesting to see those than Dodge Diplomat wagons and '79 300's....

I can try to get a more in depth video of those when I go back but I am completely at a loss when it comes to those and I'm sure it would get annoying listening to me try to talk about them. I'll definitely get a video and just overlay some music if you guys are interested,

@@mopar_magic Thank you if you could video those..all the truck's, too, would be much appreciated...I'd rather hear the birds and the wind than some music overlayed on it, though...from the comments on other videos with music, I'm not alone when it comes to not liking music over videos...
