As far as I can tell, there is currently no way to get easy offset to work for native quest 3 in the current moddable patch(1.37.1). Can anyone give actual number recommendations for the offsets in the default menu? I can tweak it from there if I need. default grip on quest3 controllers
@xoomies28 күн бұрын
The measurement used is fairly similar to SaberTailor, if you're using that then you can translate this video or even watch my tutorial for SaberTailor. As long as you understand how it should look visiually tweak from there, that would probably feel a bit nicer. I don't recommend taking any random number values since the way you hold your controllers and the way you swing are unique, so any specific numbers would ultimately be the same as starting at X0 Y0 Z0.
@Aziraphale68628 күн бұрын
@@xoomies Hey, thanks for the reply. The sabertailor/controller helper combo isn't updated for 1.37 either. I tried using the 1.28 version but the game won't even launch. Judging by the github activity he might be working on an update so I'll just wing it for now. Cheers.

@@bengieDMZ My advice is to just keep trying. If you can learn to orient yourself and understand what moves things where even a little bit you have already put yourself 70% of the way through to getting good settings. Something that would help is to definitely check out the orthographic view (back view) in your replays on BeatLeader so you can see the kind of curve you have. If you can identify the curve you have and confirm it feels rough then all you have to do after that is to just move it the opposite way. Keep playing around with it though! you will eventually find a sweet spot, I'm sure of it :) If you have more questions, don't hesitate to contact me on discord!

The trails come from the EasyOffset mod, as long as you are within any of the adjustment modes it’ll pop up. Afaik it’s there to help you see if you have a curve but it’s hard to have a natural swing to show it when you aren’t actually swinging at a block imo. It is cool to look at though.

So I could be wrong, but it's a part of a mod, which unfortunately I don't know the name of but is very common and colors the names based off if you played them, beat them, or haven't done either. @xoomies8 ай бұрын
Position z moves along a fixed axis and Zoffset moves along a relative axis you set yourself. So when moving position z you have a chance of messing with some settings you worked hard for which requires readjustment. Zoffset doesn’t do this making it the safer and easier choice with all the pros and none of the cons.

@@xoomies It's not so much on your end, it's just how overly complex the process is for something called "Easy Offset". Like everytime it's come up, it's either people have no idea how to use it, or "hey if you have an hour we can hop in a call and go over it". Like... What part of that is EASY?!?

@@Mawntee I guess that’s fair, though I’ve never really seen it as easy offset is easy to do. Really the only difference you guys have at this point is not being able to set up a swing benchmark. So you only have to understand what grip you use and how your controller is oriented to understand where to move your curve. Even then controller helper can help out with that visually. Though I do think EasyOffset should be ported to quest.

Lovely video! I'd love to see your "Direct" settings when you've locked everything in. I've always looked at the x/y/z values in that menu to compensate for my accuracy issues instead of the automatic tools, and I find that page much more intuitive in terms of correcting for different kinds of misses.
@xoomies8 ай бұрын
I find direct a bit too much of a headache personally. I don’t use the auto settings either but keeping it simple with the position and rotation modes makes things much easier to digest, and I don’t have to compensate for any weird diagonal movement when it comes to my curve and balance. If you want I could send you a picture of my direct over discord, I have been using the same config for at least the past 6 months now ahaha.
