Scott looks like you are flying the Parajet did you make a change?
@theflyingveteran62503 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I loved my Pluma, but repairs with the carbon fiber were getting expensive. Figured I'd try something different. Both the Parajet and the Pluma had their advantages and disadvantages. But overall both are great comfortable flying machines. The Pluma was a Cadillac in the air, and the 3D swing arms are a lot of fun. The Parajet is a lot simpler but still durable, comfy, and light!

Nice video and thanks for a very informative review. Color scheme looks cool. I have a Spyder on order. Did you end up taking 4 inches out of the brakes?? And how is that working out for you?
@theflyingveteran62506 жыл бұрын
Dale Reid Yes I did. It helped a lot! Though on nil wind landings it still helps to take a wrap.

@PPGMurse6 жыл бұрын
Dont take slack out. I would try 2 inches first.. You want about 1.5 -2 feet of slack between main lines and brake lines when the handles are on the magnets. If you take that 4 inches out then your arms will constantly be above your head when flying or you will always have too much pressure on, which isnt what you want. It is better to take too little out, have to wrap and then take more out, rather than take too much out.
@theflyingveteran62506 жыл бұрын
Without the slack, the toggles rested below my shoulders. The wing didn't even start turning until I pulled down to almost to elbow level. With the 4 inches out the brake toggles rest at about ear level and start engaging around shoulder level, which is comfortable for me. Before I took the slack out, I tried landing without taking a wrap and ended up on my knees because I couldn't run it out fast enough. I don't want to have to take the time to wrap my lines when landing, especially if there's an emergency situation.
@PPGMurse6 жыл бұрын
The Flying Veteran cool. Sounds like it worked out.

Taking it through it's paces like a pro! Thanks for posting your first impressions! While they don't recommend acro with the Spyder, some pros have done it - with the 2D steering dialed in. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6KziKSefN1pr8Um10s This wing should last you a long time.

@PPGMurse6 жыл бұрын
The Flying Veteran when you release the straps that bag is a full stiluff sack. Lots of vids out there, but here is the just. Rosette the wing like normal, place it in the middle of the easy bag, gather all the spars at the center, take that bundle and turn I to middle of the wing, tuck rest of excess wing on top and close up the bag. Good demo, kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioq5i2x4f7OnmLs

Congratulations!! You're going to love flying the Spyder. Easy inflation, etc. etc. I'm 240 lb and I fly a 28m Spyder. I love it! When you're turning and you feel like you're grabbing a lot of brake to get it to turn, try grabbing the tip steering line with the brake. You'll be surprised how easily it turns. Ozone recommends brakes with tip steering except on speed bar. Just tip steering (no brakes) when you're on bar. Can't wait to see your kiting video with it and then your first flights with it. Thanks for posting!
@theflyingveteran62506 жыл бұрын
