Is this engine reliable does it burn a lot of oil

This engine has originally oil burning problems because of bad design of the piston rings. So yes, these engines are notorious. My engine used around 3 liters oil per 1000 kilometers. In the end I replaced the engine with a revised engine with modified piston rings that prevents the oil problem. Now it basically doesn't burn oil. I change my oil between 15k-20k km without the need to add oil. So you need to make sure to get an engine with the modified rings, or else it'll be very costly to get it fixed.

Das darf ich nicht sagen. Ich habe einen überholten Motor gekauft @207k km zusammen mit einem neuen Turbo. Jetzt habe ich 255k km auf dem Tacho, kein Problem. obwohl ich oft schnell fahre.
