Nice video and the best "warm-up" for my next Finale holidays in two weeks. I recognized a lot of trails I've ridden the years before like Rollercoaster, Supergroppo, Briga sinistra and so on. A big "thumbs up" from me for this great clip.

So many questions! First of all, well done. 👏🏻 How many spare batteries did you have? What navigation did you use? Where did you get the route from? My brother and I did it in three days a couple of years ago on emtb’s. We tried again just recently and got into trouble 35 miles in. We set off late, and it was getting very dark 3 miles from our first stop. Komoot took us into a boggy, overgrown, unused marshland. It was horrendous, and we called off the rest of the trip. 🤦🏼

I just got a 1 year old Kelpie and I also mountain bike! Love this video, its so relaxing. What are you using for a leash, regular long lead that ties around your waist or something else? Did you have problems with him switching sides and tangling around you?

Yes bud both ebikes , I think vickys is a haibike all mtn 7 and mine is an orbea wild m10. We ran in eco and trail mode for most of it but at best you're gonna do half of it in 1 day unless you've got 2 sets of batteries

Great video thanks. I cycled parts of this trail in the 90’s. I thought my cycling expeditions were over but I’d forgotten about electric bikes. Where did you charge them and how often? Btw, what are breakfasses? Are they like breakfasts?🤔😁

I did it 20 years ago, and missed the route twice, near Keswick and and the Consett. It was good to see some bits I'd missed, even though I couldn't go off toad as much as you could. What a shame that cafe at the top of Hartside burned down. It was a welcome stop after that climb, up the little road avoiding the main road. Would love to do it again, but I fear I'm not up to it any more. Very enjoyable video, thanks.

Hello mate . Yes we were , nit in truth the uplift is so cheap you could easily be on a non-ebike . From memory uplift to nato base was 15 euros . You can also so some back country tours with various outfits which costs about 50 euros but they spend the whole day driving you near the top of trails and meet you at the bottom

How much did you pay for the skydio? Im struggling to find one
@MarkSawtell11 ай бұрын
Hey Ash. I got lucky with mine , got it off market place from a guy that moved from the states and had only flown it indoors. The issue you have now is with them not making them anymore rhe prices have gone up . There's a guy called Steve ambrose in the skydio fb groups who did have a few new ones . I've bought spares from him in the past and he's a legit guy . I think the cost though is about 2k for a new one from him . If youre gonna be using a drone for following you on a mountain bike I don't think any other drone comes close and I've got 4 other dji drones.

From the USA... I'm looking forward to coming over the summer after next and doing the C2C from Whitehaven to Tynemouth. I've done a good bit of distance riding here in the states, most notably the 2022 Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) from the Chattahoochee River in Columbus to the Atlantic Ocean at Brunswick - entirely across the state at 374 miles. If things line up, I plan to do BRAG 2024. In the meantime, I enjoy watching videos like this, learning a few things and getting prepared!🇺🇸🇬🇧

Yeah you need a spare battery as we did . We were lucky enough to have a friend who supported us in the van and met us at various points . If I was dping it without support., I'd of found a pub to dump the batteries at. If you get about 40 miles you probably need 3 tbh or break it up over 2 days with 1 spare battery

@MarkSawtell Жыл бұрын
There is quite a bit of it on roads to be fair but very quiet country roads and hardly saw any cars . As you go along you get offered an alternative off road section . I was amazed how well signposted either section was . You could do this pretty much without a gpx although there were a couple of sections where you could turn left or right and no signpost to confirm but if you didn't see a sign within a few hundred yards , you probably made the wrong choice lol. Thanks for the comment and yes deffo go do it 👍
