Thank you : ) This was another helpful video. As per your question, about what am I going to do today, I’m going to ask myself, after tapping/breathing, what am I holding onto? and what is my body telling me? and to journal the thoughts that surface (while sipping a cup of herbal tea). Other than camomile tea, do you know of any herbal teas that can be helpful while processing and journalling our emotional state? (thank you).

I'm so happy this was helpful. Chamomile is great (and one of my favs) but anything geared toward "stress reduction" could be a great addition to this practice - including (but not limited to) Ashwagandha root, lavender, lemon balm, or green teas. If you introduce new teas, try to listen to your body as you digest to see what sits right and adds to the experience in the moment.

@@healingwithshaina Thank you kindly Shaina : ) I must admit, I sometimes find green tea strong for me, though I know it has many benefits, so I tend to drink it on the weaker side. Yes, lavender is great. I tend to use the spray/mist and (oil) roller and I really like the smell of lemon: the real thing and a good quality lemon oil; though, I haven't tried it as a balm (I'll keep my eye out next time I'm at the shops). I must say I've never heard of Ashwagandha root, so I'll do a bit of research. I agree with you about listening to one's body when digesting something. I must say, I need to improve being more mindful when eating, whereas having a cup of tea is a bit easier. Thank you once again : )

Thank you SO much Shaina for this video. It was excellent : ) It really got me thinking. I grew up in water (esp. the first 6 years of my life due to where my family was living at the time) and I was a good swimmer. I don’t have a memory of being teased. I was a slim kid and (without sounding egotistical) I had a good swimming style. Though, I never liked competitive swimming: all the noise, the cheering, the attention and pressure to win. Reflecting back to that moment when I cried recently, I recall climbing up the ladder to get out of the pool and I felt heavy, literally (as I’ve slightly put on weight) and metaphorically (the world on my shoulders). It required a lot of upper body strength and mental strength to climb that pool ladder. Whereas, in the pool, I felt light and free. Listening to what you said I think I’ve been holding onto a lot of emotional stuff and quite possibly something was released. I’ve been back to the pool and again the heaviness. I’m going to do your tapping exercise when I get home from my next swim (tomorrow) and write out my thoughts. Thank you for this video: I’m truly grateful 😊✨

Thank you : ) This was fascinating. I like the bilateral technique, including to ask ourself, where do I feel this memory? My body seems to have so much stored memory. I went for a swim at my local pool yesterday (I live in a country where it’s Summer). It’s been a number of years since I went for a swim. Recently, I craved being water. After my swim, I came home and out of no where I cried. I wonder if the swimming released stored memory. My life over the past 15 or so years has been stressful. And I grew up in a passive aggressive and angry home. I learned to survive by people pleasing, being a perfectionist etc. I rarely laugh now and I’m less of a people pleaser, but I still struggle with perfectionism (though not to the extreme I was did, as I’ve been burned out multiple times in my career). I’m enjoying your videos. I like the length of them. Thank you for your KZbin channel : )

I'm so happy the information is resonating with you! The swim could have released a stored memory, but it could have also been a trigger pointing you to where you should focus your thoughts. Wishing you the best in your healing journey.

@@healingwithshaina Thank you for your kind reply : ) I was wondering, if it’s okay, to expand on ‘it could have also been a trigger pointing you to where you should focus your thoughts’ as I’m not clear what is meant by, ‘a trigger pointing you to where you should focus your thoughts’. (thank you)

You have a "new" way of saying what I've been doing homework on. :-) "Tone" At 2:12 that aligning with.... :-) "Parenting"... So, I believe I want to align my subconscious with conscious (ideas, thinking, wants, goals) vs conscious with subconscious (memories, beliefs, habits, urges). But ... lol maybe that's not quite right. :-) Lol Thinking outloud. Is there a "predominate" one.... maybe not 🙂 I see another of your videos, below. "Stuck in your head?.... " lol
@healingwithshaina16 күн бұрын
That is exactly right! Your subconscious always wins. It's always dominate. And it's tricky because - as humans - we "think" its our conscious that wins. We have to actively work through our subconscious urges and thoughts so they can align with our idealized conscious thoughts. I'll expand more on this. Stay tuned!

@@healingwithshaina Please do! I'm waiting on your words. lol Right now I am getting into Maxwell Maltz videos kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKnUh5l7d8xkhac and Dr. Kim Foster's videos on same work, and the changes have to be made there - self-image. Then I ran across YOUR videos! You set a different "tone." Very good. Seems "tricky" lol: "We have to actively work through our subconscious urges and thoughts so they an align...." Its like the engine room ....comes before (controls) the Captain, but the captain is calling the shots!, and is a bit ignorant, or blind (to the engine room, or stubbornly calling shots). Lol I'm really enjoying learning this. I'm learning to work with my subconscious. Also, new (again) to journaling. I bet you address this, too. :-)
