Had it up Broxburn at weekend and had zero issues, the real bonus though is whilst on road the aerodynamics are much better no more wind in the face lol link below www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226391366436?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rt4ipo68sw6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=F9PwURDlRHa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Hey there!! Glad to see the 890 is working well for you. Question for you, with the decat and removing the DB killer did you notice a change in power? Thinking about doing the same thing and was planning on getting the PC6 to increase the fuel because there is now more airflow. Cheers

Hi mate, loved the video. Quick question, I’m 26 and never owned an mx bike and thinking of buying one. I’m 6ft 2 and 17 stone. Do you think I’m better starting off on a 250 or 450 ? Any helps much appreciated
@NomadScotland22 күн бұрын
I've had 500 EXC, 450', 250s to be honest they all have there places, I bought the 250 just for some fun in the dirt, really easy to throw around and still has the power to pull me easily, I'm also 6"2 and 109kg, I upgraded the rear shock spring to 110 - 115kg rating. The 500 i used for enduro to much power though, the 450 sxf was an animal lol but more for track than casual off roading. The 250s give you best of all worlds and helps improve my adventure riding 👍
@TheDeepExplorer121 күн бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to get back to is mate. I just want something to throw about at the weekend and have some fun, not for racing or that. All the research am doing seams to be pointing in the direction of a 250. Can always go bigger after a while on the 250 if I decide. I don’t want to end up up a tree because of excessive power ye know haha

You're right about the maintenance. These 890s are brilliant. This season I've ridden almost 15,000 miles - Scotland, England, Ireland, France, Spain, Andorra and Latvia. Its been great fun. This bike is comfortable and fast. KTMs are performance bikes, so its vital to service them correctly and keep an eye on all parts. Do your own maintenance so as to get an idea of whats going on. My 2021 890AR has over 25k miles on it, and its been reliable and fun. Also, like you, I ran mine in correctly - kept the revs down, medium acceleration and plenty of engine braking. Don't lug. Don't let it get too hot. Change the oil. Use the correct oil. Now it burns no oil between ~4500 mile oil changes, despite being ridden hard. My 2004 KTM 950 Adventure has over 140k miles on it and is in great condition for a 20+ year old bike.

Interesting and liking the combination. Looked at Trackers for my AT but I didn't think the rear would like the weight and power, particularly when climbing steep rocky hills. The big bike needs / demands more front end grip in the mud, so its looking like a combo I'm going to mirror.....thanks. Currently struggling around on Raids. 50/50 or in other words grip / no grip when off road

@@stevia13 Google 'Three Lochs Forest Drive | Scotland Off the Beaten Track' "There are three forest drives in Scotland. These are unsurfaced scenic roads maintained by Forestry and Land Scotland, allowing visitors to get a taste of remote (ish) parts of the countryside without leaving their vehicles. The Three Lochs Forest Drive is the only one found in the Highlands, and we think it’s the most spectacular of the trio. Winding gradually downhill from the summit of Duke’s Pass, the track offers wonderful views across the heart of the forested Trossachs. There are short, waymarked walking trails at a few points; by far the most attractive are those along Loch Drunkie - the middle of the three lochs on the passed on the route. The best time to visit is in mid October when you’ll catch stunning autumnal hues, just before the forest drive closes for the season." If you have a road legal bike, they should be legal, no?

@NomadScotland I'm taking it as an 'expensive learning experience' and went back to the basics to build up what I was/ am missing in skills. I tried to drift around a tree. My tires regained traction about 1 inch too soon 😂 pushed my left fuel tank under my seat. 8 weeks in the dealership to get repaired. Put 1.85-21/2.5-18 wheels on & worked on better traction management - still am since I was looking for the 'right' tires to the point.

Im not fan of 'shoe' shape of those bags though, and they dont look good when are empty and lack some system to properly keep them tight and as narrow as possible when they are empty
