Few years ago we have been to Singapore (typical holiday) exploring all main attractions and must see places. This time we came to explore it from a different side by going to supermarkets, more shopping malls, restaurants and even walk around housing estate just to feel how local people live and to understand purchasing power here. Just like every person has a budget we judge prices by using our own scale.

The purpose of comparing prices is to understand the cost of living differences and purchasing power across regions. While incomes vary, these comparisons can help identify more affordable options and economic trends. To be honest, I find Singaporean is quite lucky because the people do earn really well (of course they need to study & work hard) in the country so that their purchasing power is very high compared to those people who work in the low income countries 💕🤝🏻

Quite true , as a singaporean i attest to that. Reason is because we banned alot of substances in our food products. Whatever the FDA, EU and the UN banned, we banned as well. You want safe but you got to sacrifice in someway else.

Distance not necessarily the deciding factor, more probably is the tax involved. Take for eg , egypt seedless grapes which i recently bought is less than $4 , egypt is about 8000+km from us. Certain countries and regions tend to sell their products more expensive than others,like korea,japan and taiwan.

Meaningless comparison when everybody knows you can get the groceries cheaper in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. We all know many Hong Kongers are going to Shenzhen for shopping, dining and entertainment.

@@KrystianandVenus 我也不记得买卡是要多少钱了，好像也没有多贵。。去年12月的时候我的公交卡过期了就问柜台说用visa/master不是也能坐吗，柜台的员工告诉我的每趟贵$1,不然我也不知道呢。。如果去1天新加坡就算了，多去几次就贵了，一天搭几趟车，你们都可以叫多一碟那个kaya toast吃了，毕竟$1=rm3.5。。哈哈

不要胡说八道，我每趟用 visa 卡都是照常價，並没有多收加一元
