I remember hearing this on Xmas eve really early morning when I was 14. I thought he was singing "I'm into Mod, didn't realise it was ",in demand"😂. Derby lad, couldn't understand London accents! Anyway, I was a teenage grebo, so I thought mmm, good song, but they're Mods, can't like this! Back in the early 80s, music was tribal. Thankfully that all changed a bit later on.

This song has the most unique sound from the album. A true sign of a great band is that all the songs dont sound the same. Sure, the band has a general sound, but composition and musicality changes really make it so it's not just one long song, that so man y bands suffer from.

1:46 til the end, when the trumpet breaks out with the descant harmonies, is one of my favourite minutes of music ever; and i am not biased, i enjoy the music of many cultures.

Bought the vinyl in 91, digitised it in 2007, bought the CD a month ago Was always hard to get hold of. Obvious why. An album made by people who cared about what they were doing. And boy does it show 35 years later.
