Absolutely! It's like we're battling against the Photoshop effect, where unrealistic standards are set by filters and fancy editing. False advertising has created this illusion of instant transformations, but in reality, skincare is more about steady progress than overnight miracles. It's a tough job to manage expectations in a world where 'perfect' is just a swipe away, but we're here to keep it real and deliver results that are both effective and sustainable.

Hallo Dr Sarah, great work. *Two quick questions: 1) ck1 injections are just for myomodulation or for filling? 2) are Ck1 and CK 3 different for men and women?
@dr.sarahkennea5698
@dr.sarahkennea5698 11 ай бұрын
Apologies for the delay. CK1 - Yes my main priority is for myo-modulation, but also for localized volumization on some patients. I don't like an over filled CK3 in men at all, the main purpose of CK3 is for support for the under eye for less tired, and for CK1 is done in a horizontal manner for men along the zygomatic arch.

Hi and thanks so much for your comment. For lips we use Juvederm dermal fillers for Lips because of the high quality, safety and longevity of the fillers. They are made from Hylauronic Acid, which is actually a naturally occurring molecule we produce in our bodies but that we start to lose and produce less of it as we age.

Apologies for the delay we were not getting notified of the questions. I use dermal fillers, typically I find Juvederm Volbella or Volift for lips and would expect them to last 2 years. There are good studies showing Volbella lasting two years.

What patients have succeeded in doing is submit the costs via a Health Spending account for tax purposes. Emsella has had insurance cover it, not all insurance is on board and ahead with this yet, but it’s getting there. There would be no harm in asking your company as well.

Thank you for your comment. It's always good to have a balanced, educated viewpoint on any topic I find. We of course have all read the news reports, which the media love to sensationalize. She has complained about a PAH. Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia is a rare complication of CoolSculpting that gets its name from the unexpected, paradoxical result: overgrowth (hyperplasia) of fatty (adipose) tissue. This complication, which can appear 8 to 24 weeks post-procedure, is when the treated area becomes hardened and visibly enlarged. The term “stick of butter” refers to the shape the affected tissue takes, which reflects the shape of the CoolSculpting applicator. Now considering that there have been over 8 million treatments worldwide, one can see that this is an extremely safe clinical treatment. This side effect has an incidence of 0.0051% or about 1 in 20,000 treated patients. Based on manufacturer data, PAH has been estimated to occur in 1 out of every 4,000 CoolSculpting treatment cycles, which is an incidence rate of 0.025 percent. Typically, patients have to wait up to six to nine months for the fat in the affected area to soften enough to be removed safely using liposuction-otherwise, there is a risk that PAH could recur. It is so rare, and it is so treatable, that Allergan (formerly Zeltiq) will pay for any patient who is unfortunate enough to experience this rare side effect. Now, from a clinical perspective, we treat 2-3 patients a day in Coolsculpting area, about 500-600 patients per year, which is thousands upon thousands of cycles. Our staff train intensely, and we are a Physician Directed clinic. The true beauty of Coolsculpting, and the reason for its success is it works, and it is safe. Especially when considering the risks from anesthesia; risk which increase with age and other medical conditions. Death associated with anaesthetic procedures is rare, 1-4 deaths per 10,000 anaesthesia's. Anesthesia and surgery have a wide range of effects on the cardiovascular system. Even in healthy patients having minor operations, anesthetic agents can cause significant cardiac depression and hemodynamic instability. Recent studies have found that general anesthesia when used on the elderly, can increase the risk of dementia and the development of neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson's or Alzheimer's disease. These are all considerable risks to ponder on, risks that are completely mitigated by treatments such as Coolsculpting and Emsculpt. Another consideration for patients is screening the provider. All of our patients go through a lengthy consultation of 1-2 hours, followed by additional planning. All of which is assessed and supervised by Medical Professionals. Patients are considered for their suitability for success in a highly ethical and clinical fashion.

12 syringe of filler in face is too much .Please can u do one side of face w filler and other side w threads?
@dr.sarahkennea5698
@dr.sarahkennea5698 3 жыл бұрын
12 syringes in this instances was the minimum amount needed. Consider that the five syringes are the same amount as a teaspoon. The average face loses between 1-3mls of volume every year from late twenties / early thirties. There is also the need to understand how dermal fillers modulate the facial muscles, so this is not fake / unnatural looking volume, but volume that is returning facial muscles. Dermal Fillers are made of hyaluronic acid which is a partially occurring substance that the body recognizes and assimilated. Threads are not naturally occurring, are difficult and challenging to correct if complications arise, and typically account for a more unnatural looking outcome. The problem t=with the thinking that 12 syringes is too much for example is the poor use of not enough dermal filler in the wrong locations, typically seen in poor or unnatural outcomes as injectors have treated the symptom and not the cause.

@@dr.sarahkennea5698for people with “laxity”, Pdo thread restore the natural position of fat pads. If I need a lift of the cheek before treating the nasolabial folds, i I prefer a pdo thread to a couple of bolus of filler in ck1, for example.

You can find all side by sides on our website :) This project only took the patient to the halfway mark, and was a surgical demonstration. The BIG NEEDLES haha is actually a cannula, and is soft. The doctor makes a very small hole with a needle, and then the soft cannula is fed in. The cannula cannot rupture a vein, or damage like a needle can and is therefore safer and more effective. But yes it looks HOOGE lol
