Perfect car for a perfect road....I'll need to cruise that one in my 03 CL/S 6MT. Quick off topic question for you Ty: my 6MT throttle body has a broken (plastic) cruise control rotor. I'd like to replace the unit but the on-line catalogues seem to always point me to the base car's TB. Any idea of the correct part # for the 6MT TB?? Thanks. Tom

The ~8 year old reman Denso alternator on my friend's 1990 legend is failing. Since Denso no longer remans these, I figure it will be more reliable to just replace the brushes myself than to trust some duralast junk. I never imagined that there would be a specific Acura Legend video about rebuilding an alternator, so I just searched "Honda alternator rebuild" and it brought me exactly where I needed to be! Thank you.

These auto trannirs have a front external filter. Also can remove tranny solenoids then carefully remove O-rng complex seals with built in screens. The screens can plug up with tranny disc material. Usually presents a poor shifting when cold, 3rd gear is the weak one. Softly shift through the auto gears if acting funny. Long idles, move into neutral.

Thanks for sharing this, I got a CLS6 earlier this year and I'm still in the process of replacing worn out parts -- among them were the shifter cable bushings, and I had to take a leap and get ones labeled for an 01-05 civic/02-06 RSX, and they were perfect. I'll definitely see about getting some of these engine dampers if I can find them in stock again
@davidwalker722 ай бұрын
The spoilers on these cars make them look sooooo good in comparison to without. Nice addition!
@bobk.40802 ай бұрын
Ty, I want to thank you for the research necessary to find these dampers. I purchased two for my car and set them aside until I put in the new motor mounts. Last week I tackled the rear motor mount and in the process, I replaced the damper. I had replaced the front the month before. Between these new dampers and the solid poly mounts the car is much more responsive. This combined with a short throw shifter and a 31mm anti sway bar this car now handles great. The Nolothane Antisway bar had to be redesigned as the original design on my fully original suspension was hitting into the lower control arms. It took them a few months for them to redesign it, but it was worth the wait. Cornering is now flat, but the downpoint is that this is a solid bar not hollow like OEM so it weghs much more.

There have been quite a few manufacturers that make stuff in China now that just isn't the same quality anymore. Like Moog used to be really really good. So with all of that in mind, if you can find New old stock on things, you'll get lucky. I noticed that you can get a Nissen radiator for the legend,so I wonder what the quality are on those. Looks like it's a relatively small plant they have in Denmark. I know for the ka9s I'll be looking at getting a koyo rad instead, And if they are solid units, I might keep a couple stashed away lol.
