Nice review, I had my slide cut for an optic (green dot) eyes aren't what they used to be. It's more range toy than a carry.

Many magazines are compatible with each other because they use the same body structure. Canik, Sig p226, and Beretta 92 are the examples. Thing is the magazine catch slots are in unique places. So you could get any of those to work with your Arex.

OK... After 16 months of carrying this pistol and shooting thousands of rounds thru it... I have to replace the Talon Grip every couple-three months if that tells you anything about how hard I am on this pistol... it has been flawless. It is carried with a round chambered (Federal 230 grain HSTs) every day. I rarely carry appendix because it violates one of the basic safety rules, not because I don't trust this particular gun. The finish has held up a lot better than I thought it would, being that I sweat all over it quite often, but there is no sign of rust anywhere, even around the rear sight dovetail. You're right, there isa whole lot more options available for the 9mm as far as modularity, but that modularity sure makes it easy to clean. I do have a spare grip frame for mine. The grip texture is a little slick for me, hence the Talon 'pro-texture' grips I use, but the ergos are great, the SigLite night-sights are really nice, the trigger is sweet, it shoots really well, and it conceals fine under just a T-shirt.
