So to be clear the old tire size is needed for input and of course the new tire size is needed for programming, question is what if you don't know the old tire size (purchased vehicle with bigger tires already installed) would one just look up and find the factory installed tires for that year, make and model ?

A torque converter shudder in a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD can be caused by several factors, including: 1. **Contaminated Transmission Fluid**: Old or contaminated transmission fluid can cause the torque converter to shudder. Over time, the fluid can degrade, becoming less effective at lubricating and cooling the transmission components. ( I have kept a very close eye on the transmission fluid every since I bought the truck less than a year ago. Not that it looked or smelled bad before I exchanged it, I just wanted to make sure it was good.) 2. **Low Transmission Fluid Level**: An insufficient amount of transmission fluid can lead to improper lubrication and cooling, causing the torque converter to shudder. (Transmission fluid has never been low or high since I bought the truck and it's never gotten hot. The truck has a factory transmission cooling system and I have always monitored the transmission temperature at least fairly closely and extremely closely since it slipped right after using this tuner. It has never ran over 100° above the ambient air temperature. It usually runs between 70 and 80° above the ambient air temperature.) 3. **Worn Torque Converter Clutch (TCC)**: The TCC can wear out over time, leading to improper engagement and causing a shuddering sensation. (Possible, but it's awfully funny how the transmission slipped for the first time immediately after applying a tune with this tuner.) 4. **Dirty or Clogged Transmission Filter**: A clogged transmission filter can restrict fluid flow, leading to pressure issues within the transmission that can cause the torque converter to shudder. (My truck has never had burnt or dirty fluid since I bought it about a year ago.) 5. **Transmission Solenoid Issues**: Faulty transmission solenoids can lead to improper fluid pressure and flow, affecting the torque converter's performance and causing shuddering. (Possible, but the truck never had an issue prior to applying a tune with this tuner.) 6. **Engine Performance Issues**: Problems with the engine, such as misfires or poor fuel delivery, can create vibrations that may feel like a torque converter shudder. (I checked everything possible including the drive train and even replaced the spark plugs and wires after feeling it shudder the very first time just to make sure.) 7. **Software Issues**: Sometimes, a shudder can be caused by a software glitch in the transmission control module (TCM). An update or reprogramming of the TCM might be needed. (Ah ha, now we're talking. Absolutely no problem until using this tuner and immediately after using it my transmission slipped and I set it back to the stock program. I changed the tune a day or two later hoping it was a glitch but, the slip/shudder persisted.) Addressing the issue often involves starting with the simplest solutions, such as checking and replacing the transmission fluid and filter. If the problem persists, further diagnosis by a professional mechanic may be necessary to identify and rectify the specific cause. (I took it to a transmission shop and they said it's possible that the tuner caused the problem. I talked to a representative from hypertech and of course they said it is impossible for the tuner to cause a problem but, how is it that the transmission slipped immediately after applying a tune ? Pure coincidence ? I think not.) Now let's see if they stand behind their product after raking in millions if not tens of millions of dollars in profit.

But, yea I guess it's just a coincidence. Especially since allllll you Internet geniuses and mechanics know every fucking thing.

I bought the Hypertech speedometer calibrator this last week for my 2011 Tundra. I programmed the control module 5 times using all correct input numbers, installed it 5 times, test drove it 5 times, and compared it with two different gps apps on my phone... Still couldn't get it to calibrator to the correct speed. Then the micro USB port completely broke off inside the control module. And yes, I was gentle everytime I plugged in the usb cord. Please help!

This is fantastic. I have a 2023 ram 1500 and the dealer put 35 12 5 r20 on it but won't calibrate it. Im scared ill really screw something up, but you make it look so simple. What if you get an error!? I'd pass out. I have to check on this. I called RAM after the dealer is dragging their feet putting the factory smaller tures on it - 275/55r20 - and after having these 35s, it'll look U-gly. Thanks. Am I right, one device per vehicle as you could uninstall.

So to make adjustments I have to take it all apart again? Or can I leave a connection installed and make adjustments installed? I changed gears and tire size. I went from 4.3 to 6.17 gears and from 32” to 44” tires.

You do that either way. We do advise calibrating the unit and verifying your settings before putting the dash completely back together, as mentioned at the 6:00 minute mark of the video. You could also connect the USB cable to the unit and route it down through the dash towards the pedals and secure it there. This would give you access to the Speedo Calibrator after installation for updates needed for future tire/gear changes.

We support the 2014 Mustang in our Speedometer Calibrator Programmer, but not in with Inline Speedometer Calibrator. The Spectrum Power Programmer also gives you the ability to adjust for tire/gear changes, plus it gives you tuning. And that tune is awesome! The lowend gains are incredible and very noticeable during normal driving too. +17HP and +31TQ! This is year and model specific. Our tunes are emissions legal for the RZR XP 1000, RS1, XP Turbo, and Turbo S models through 2021. We are in process of adding 2022-2023 years and additional models to our EO's.

We have a tune for the 2002 Camaro SS in our Max Energy PN: 32500. The power gains are awesome with this tune too! It picks up +20HP and +45TQ under the curve. And that torque gain is way down low, so you should feel it during normal driving too. The power gains are over the whole curve, so you're going to feel it. @@Legend22- We recommend updating first to make sure you have the latest and greatest software on the unit. You can download the Tuner Update software for free on our website. After you download and install the program you'll open the Tuner Update program and connect your Programmer to your PC/laptop via the USB cable. Then just click "Update Tuner" and let it do its thing. Afterwards you should be good to go out to your vehicle and program it. I have a 2019 RAM 1500 5.7 4x4 Big Horn Quad. Hypertech 3400 worked flawlessly just like the video. Had increased tire size to 275/65r20 with 2 in lift in front. Measured tire height and started with that. Took 2 additional adjustments but speedometer is now spot on at all speeds. Hardest part was plugging in small clip under the dash. Great product!

When you are done programming can you unhook everything and put it away or do you have to leave the wire harness connected?

Good question! It is not necessary to leave the device hooked up after you've finished programming. You can put everything away on the Programmer Speedometer Calibrator.
