Bought the double CD at Tower Records, Sunset Strip, LA in '96 en route to the legendary Organic festival to see Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Orbital and The Orb. Darrens is one of the best mixes I've ever heard.

Organic '96...that was the one up on Big Bear mtn, ya? That was a kickass show! A carload of us were doing a bunch of enit fest shows on the east coast, but got faced enough the night before at I think Camden, to forget to find out what was next I instinctively ran us across the river to south st. in philly, looking for a lead on a next show, aand immediately ran into the orb's tour manager, who not only sat & talked to us long enough to tell us about the upcoming big bear show...but graciously offered to leave us as many tix as he could at will call too (which turned out to more than he anticipated) Big Bear was a weird scene & I barely remember it, other than being exhausted from dancin' all night, in increasingly deeper mud...'til the sun came up That was the night we finished up my very special head stash, that came on some prints of jerry garcia's watercolor art...I'd say that explains it 😁😋

Does anyone else remember Spliffy and Eclipse? There were other brands jumping on the bandwagon like Dreddy, Herbie and XTC. There was a very rare brand I remember being sold at markets, think it was called Yardie Worldwide. Can't find anything about it anywhere online. Does anyone else remember it?

Nice!! I was too young in the 90s to "grow-up" with this, but I heard enough DnB on TV and such to recognize it when I officially "discovered" it later. It's just another reason to crave the late 90s to early '00s era!

I used to own this on CD it's pretty good some of the beats and stuff are a little repetitive the way they've looped them but all in all it's an okay album. One of my favorite compilations is called welcome to the jungle I think that starts off with original nuttah. There are some songs on that that are phenomenal like big up, ganja man

grew up in this era, killer drums especially the deeper into the compilation u go. i jammed these tunes back in the day at 1.00x speed now days its .75x for a whole new level of detail in some dnb/jungle but some of the best ive heard together , is here. good on ya

This compilation was my introduction to Jungle and what got me heavily into it for the rest of my life till present day. Hearing Invisible Man - You Don't Know on headphones in high school back on a rainy day in 96/97. GAME OVER! This comp had a great span of artists and incredible music on it. Found this gem in a bargain bin at a wholesale store that probably had 10 cds for sale. Respect to each and everyone who found their way here! edit Many many years later I learned one member of Intense (responsible for another favorite on this comp) was Beau Thomas. The infamously dope mastering engineer at teneightseven. I will always cherish these tunes as the corner stone of what got me into electronic music.

Je sortais du vendredi soir au lundi matin,déjà depuis 10 ans,avec le plus cool man du monde,étudiant en architecture et très friend de hashish.L'ambiance s' étant degrade par rapport au early nineties,je passais bcp de temps ds la golf 2 g5d de mon ami à écouter full house music.Dont ce terrible cd.A chaque fois,je grillais la batterie de la caisse.J'ais vu the Orb en concert à bxl,à Forest National et j'ais commencé mes premiers frissons housïques fin 90 au vaudeville.Ce concert(j'ais pourtant connu le Boccacio,les houses party's,etc)fut, toutes nuits blanches fishermanisées confondues,le plus grand et le plus époustouflants événements électronique de ma vie acidulée de raver.Indescriptible.Peace and respect.
