I know that this is an ol I just came across it, I tried many times that way I failed .I tried by spreading the butter many times, and I failed as well. How are you able to manage the butter not to come out?
@Liseinthekitchen

You have to make sure the butter is not too cold and not too soft. Hope this helps

It's not gumbo its kalalou. We're Haitians not from New Orleans. They put a different spin on it from the haitian influence. They make it very differently but kalalou is the original.

Gumbo is what some Haitians in certain regions of Haiti call okra. Others say kalalou.

Thank you so much for sharing your skills and talent. I love the video. Please, allow le to comment on two things: 1. The Plastic: I would beg you to never use plastic bags to cover hot food. The heat release chemical Not good for your health. 2. Maggi Cube are not good for health as well. Please, Google to learn more about the two risks mentioned above. Thank you ❤

This video is amazing 🙌🏾😍 first Blessings to you and your family and your calm voice and thorough instructions is everything for me. I will definitely be making this, Everytime I say I'm making rice my Uncle says "make enough for me" I can hardly wait to make this one and he loves okra! My first time having this Haitian dish was when my friend's Mom made it for us at work. I asked Google about it and I got you. Thank you so much 👍🏾😅
