Man, I used to do hundreds of sessions using RADAR and API Legacy consoles. I miss that workflow! I'd be totally at home at your place...

Beautiful console and music. The S3-H look like they're positioned relatively low in the video and I wonder at what height they should be for you to be in the sweet spot.
@zonarecordingstudio5 ай бұрын
I have to sit back a bit when I monitor with the Adams ,you basically measure between the speakers and create a triangle to get into the sweet spot

@@zonarecordingstudio ah got you. i have them on a stand behind my desk, always in sweetspot.

Did you process the camera through a Fairchild 670 to create that hazy appearance in the studio?

Wow I first was excited about the API, then when that gorgeous piano intro came in, I was hooked. Incredible musicianship… and the rest of the band is just as amazing. Who were the musicians on this record?
I’d like to experience mixing in analog console...I can imagine tha feeling of tweaking faders & eq’ing etc😍 The funny part is that I ain't a professional mixing engineer...😄

You made this video about a year ago. How are you liking the OPX? Any comparison video on drums between the API and OPX? I am looking for OPX videos. Thank you for anything you can provide.

Both the opx or the api will get the job done ,love them both

When you went through the mics on the kit, I was imagining the result. You get a beautiful full sound, with much detail. It was even better to hear the arrangement with the other instruments as well as drums. Classy work.

Wonderful set-up and the results are pearls. That's the first time I ever saw anyone use two computers like this, so thoughtful for splitting straight-ahead recording with flexible use of adding new moods. This could be a great way for an arranger to work on film tracks. Brilliant, man.
