Wow..... great video - just wish I came across it sooner! I was a victim of the crap-tacular design flaw of the American Standard flush valve. I followed the directions & YT videos to replace the rubber gasket, only for it not to work. Replaced the gasket & the tiny O-ring & ended up with no solution to the ghost flushing - I attempted to further tighten the black plastic wing nut, thinking that the gasket wasn't making enough of a seal. SNAP! plastic parts broke, & I ended up replacing the toilet, as parts were back-ordered for weeks, & I didn't want to wait. Went with a Gerber Viper with a 3" flush valve that uses a traditional flapper. Fingers crossed that I made a good choice.

Did you remove the plug on the fill valve? Thats the black device on the left. Manufacturers install a white colored plug that slows the water filling the tank . It makes for a quiet fill. Remove that plug and the tank fills much faster after a flush. Do a video on that. You'll have to remove the fill valve to remove the plug. A wooden chopstick will pop that plug right out. I just installed an American Standard champion 4 toilet and i plan on replacing the flush valve real soon.

A sad commentary on the state of quality control on this product. I have two of them and the ghost flushes cost me a lot of money as a result. I added steel washers to the chain in an effort to apply additional load to the seal. I am not sure if that solves the problem. There is an inherent problem in the design, The cap should have a ring that is a machine fit with the drain section pipe to ensure the cap centres in the opening and the cap be made from heavier/mire dense material. I need to replace another toilet but will NOT buy one of these

This solution defeats the water conservation principle of the toilet as it narrows the size of the water column. If you do this, put some water dams in to preserve the water column height (and the flushing power) while reducing the total volume if water needed for a full flush.

Secret plot twist: while the TOP of the OEM flush valve is 4", the gasket and lower part of the flush valve (where the tank and bowl are attached together) is 3". So ANY 3" flush valve replacement kit with gasket and hardware will fit a Champion 4. Look at Korky 5030 for example...

They ALL want Chad who makes 100k+ who is physically "hot" so this dude literally is being hit up by tons of women. This man is in hyper abundance. Because of this, Chad has a rotation of girls that are in ranges of 7-10's and when he cant hook up with the 2 or 3 girls who are hot he dips lower into his list of girls he is seeing so now Chad being a 9 on occasion will sleep with a 6/7 and now for her, anything below a 9 is her floor. We stupidly believe that because we are modern and "enlightened" that biological driven reality and social norms that have existed in mankind for at least a thousand years can be ignored with zero long term consequences. Reality will come home to roost and its not going to be pretty. Im an older man and my heart breaks when I see how we are openly definat and act like everything is fine when it is decidedly not. I feel really bad for young men. Sadly, my advice to them is focus on being the best you that you can become. Avoid women do not waste you're time or your resources on them. Western society is in the middle of an epic collapse. Its happening right now. In order for a civilization to just keep its current population the reproduction rate needs to be a minimum of 2:1 Not a single country in western Europe is anywhere near 2:1 most are at or below 1.5:1 if that trend continues the population will be 1/2 its current size. Couple that with the fact that most of them are in big trouble financially and the result is either quiet collapse or large scale war. Here in the USA we have birth rates of about 1.7:1 I hand the problem off you younger people as its not a problem that I will have to deal with when it comes to having a family. But honestly, with the family court system and how men in general are hated by society, I would just skip the whole dating, marriage Divorce shit show. Avoid the emotional destruction and financial destruction they bring to your life.. never forget that almost 80% of divorce is initiated by WOMEN. Those water saver laws are absolutely ridiculous and a massive overreach by the government. These Champion toilets have issues with bad flushes and they are horribly designed but replacing the flush valve pretty well fixes it. Thanks to NuFlush for making a part since a normal flush valve doesn't fit right.
