Did you include the FBI recording and following MLK? Did you guys include the FBI and NYPD admitting in classified documents how they infiltrated the Nation of Islam sowed dissension with lies and were ultimately responsible for assassinating both men???

What are you trying to say, Black Brit’s didn’t suffer their own racial injustices? I suggest you study black British history especially the wind rush generation.

Not too long ago most of the diaspora was telling black Americans to stop playing victims and talking about race. Patricia Bright was saying she didn't see black or white now we suddenly there's racism. Which is what black Americans have been saying for decades.

Misconception that more opportunities are in London than outside London

This is a common mistaken belief! Join our discussion now on Twitter @theblkbrit as we touch on these misconceptions.

I think the misconception is that London is perceived as this super future thinking city and all the others follow its lead because of its economic weight. However in this instance, Jams sees being from Birmingham as a benefit because it’s made him more resourceful and able to make something out of nothing

Love this - I especially like to hear about Black stories outside of the London-centric bubble. Also Jahmel doesn't sound like a typical Brummie. Was he born there or moved.

Thank you! The objective of this project is to document the stories outside of the capital, as the Black British experiences are exclusively associated with London. But make sure to stay tuned for our next interview tonight at 6pm for more.
