I haven't read Jane Austen yet but I'll do It. If you like this kind of novel I'll recommend Anna Karenina (Leo Tolstoy). This novel is about gentry, relationship and love too. But I warn you that the end of this book will be sad. It's a Russian classic literature.

Thanks for the video! As far as I'm concerned I put my Christmas tree up in the fourth week of December. In Russia we celebrate one more interesting holiday. It's an Old-New Year at 12 night 13th January. We say goodbye to the Old year on this date and we meet New Year one more time.

Welcome to video five of the 31 video challenge that we are doing. I would like you to write 10 words that you have learned in this video in the comment section. Today's video is going to be about speaking verbs, so verbs that we use to talk about how someone said something, how someone is speaking. For example, shout, say, tell, those are the easy ones, but today we're going to see some more difficult ones. If you are angry, you might shout or yell. Yell is similar to shout, so if you are speaking very loudly because you are angry or you are in pain, you might yell or shout. Then, if you're angry and you're complaining about something, like you have had a problem at work, you might rant on about it. A rant is when someone complains for a long time, so they're talking and complaining about something, and they go on and on and on. For example, you could say he was ranting so much about an argument that he had with his friend. Or if you're complaining to someone, you can say, "I'm sorry for the rant," like "I'm sorry for complaining so much." If you don't speak clearly, then you mumble. If you are doing a presentation, it's important not to mumble because if not, people won't understand what you were talking about. Some people mumble when they make a comment, but they don't want other people to hear it. Like if your friend is announcing something and someone else mumbles something, they just make a comment, but they don't want everyone to hear it. It wasn't loud and clear. And if someone is proud of something that they have done and they won't stop talking about it, they are bragging about it. Brag means to talk about something too proudly. For example, if someone has bought a new car and they won't stop talking about it, then they are bragging. They are talking very proudly about something, something that they have or they have done. It is different to the word that we saw before, which was complaining. Ranting is that they won't stop complaining, and this is the opposite. They won't stop talking about something they have got, which is better than yours. They are both negative, though. The word announce can mean giving information to people, like at a train station or an airport, for instance. If you're at the airport and they announce that the flight to London has been cancelled, and you can also use it to say that you're giving information to people that they didn't know before. For example, she announced that she was having a baby. A lot of English learners use this word incorrectly because they sometimes confuse it with advertise. Advertise is when you watch an advert on TV, and they advertise a brand or they advertise a new car, but it's not the same as announce. Announce is always for speaking. We have two words left, and the first one is to stutter. Stutter means that you have difficulty pronouncing a word. For example, if I am trying to pronounce the word caterpillar and I say c-c-caterpillar, then that is stuttering. It means that you repeat the first part of the word. You might have seen this in books or on TV shows, like in the subtitles, because people normally do this when they are nervous or when they are scared. And on the subtitles or in the book, it says he stuttered. For example, it means that he struggled to say that word. And lastly, we have the word swear. Swear is to say an offensive word, to be rude, and you normally do this when you are angry. Congratulations on finishing video five, and I'll see you in the next one.

The festive season is coming to an end and I've already heard people talking about when they are going to take down the Christmas decorations. Putting the tree up and putting up the decorations is always exciting and people usually do it at the beginning of December, although this year I even saw people putting it up in November, which was very early, at the beginning of November. I put mine up on the first week of December. It's quite a big job because people normally have their Christmas tree stored away and you only use it once a year, so it's normally at the bottom of your storage and you've got to find the tree all the ornaments and all the decoration and and it doesn't take 10 minutes, it takes about 2 hours in my case. My Christmas tree is plastic. I don't have a real Christmas tree, although a lot of people in England do. If you have a real Christmas tree, then the needles usually start to fall off and they go all over the floor and you might stand on them and it hurts, so you have to get rid of them. Before Christmas, like a few days before Christmas, I saw something on the news. They said that because people had bought their real Christmas trees so early, they were starting to shed, which means their needles were starting to fall off, so people had to get rid of them before it was actually Christmas. I suppose that if you look after the tree, it should last a lot longer, so you should be careful not to overwater it or underwater it, and make sure that the temperature is always the same because temperature swings can cause the leaves to drop. People love the smell of pine trees and this is one of the reasons why people buy real ones and not plastic ones, but I think it's much more comfortable to have a plastic one because then you don't have to buy one every single year. And it is quite expensive to buy a new one every year. When I put my Christmas tree up, I have to put it together because it is made up of three pieces, so I have to put them together. Then I have to spread the leaves because when you put it away, you press them all together so that they don't take up much space, so I have to spread the leaves and make sure that it all looks uniform. Uniform means that it all looks the same, like it isn't higher on one side. Then I put put the ornaments on. I have a lot of silver baubles. Baubles are the round ornaments that you put on your Christmas tree. A lot of English Learners call them Christmas balls, but they are baubles, they have a special name. I have quite a few little teddy bears on my tree pine cones, baubles and at the top I have a star. Some people have an angel at the top of the tree, but I have a star. This week I have to tidy up all the Christmas decorations and put them away. It's a shame to take them down, especially the Christmas lights, because it's nice to have them on in the living room here in the evenings. It makes this space a lot prettier and brighter. Congratulations on finishing the video 4 and I'll see you in the next one!
I'm from Poland and I'm looking for people who want to write letters (envelope and stamp), but normal ones in English. Where can I find such people? Maybe you can suggest a website or internet platform?
