Your review explains why it took 10 years before I would find an Oreck vacuum sitting next to a dumpster. In 10 years of trashpicking, I have found dozens of Bissells, Dirt Devils, Hoovers, Eurekas, Sharks, even a couple of Dysons, one damaged Riccar, and even a 28-year-old Rainbow. But only this year I have I finally found an Oreck. It looks just like the one my dad had. I removed the clog in the tube and did a few other things, including cleaning it out. Now all I need to do is get a set of those little front wheels that are just behind those side brushes. I believe my model is an XL 2500 HH or RH (ID tag missing on mine). Do you sell them by chance?

I was thinking of ordering on Amazon. It says made in China for the XL model on Amazon. I thought all XL models are made in the USA. Would you happen to know?

I just received one today that i ordered new. The latest version of XL2100RHS Type:8 (our assembly date is Aug 10, 2022) has a black plastic roller brush instead of wooden. Have you purchased one with these plastic roller brushes? Curious to hear from someone who uses these everyday commercially how well the plastic rollers hold up, if they deform from heat, etc. Thank you, great review and your video was a major influence on my purchase. Extremely happy so far (first day with the vacuum).

Benny, No, I have not. We had a lot of these and as the company has grown, we switched to Proteam vacuums. There are a lot more money, but they do have the wand that we needed. I was really happy with them when we started but I am starting to see a few common problems with them. I need to make a couple of more videos with the other vacuums we have used. Keep an eye out for a new video soon.

I love Oreck vacuums. They last for years and are very easy to repair.

William, I agree. They are definitely worth it. I have tried a lot of other vacuums since this was made and I should share my thoughts on the others. We have tried Sharks, Proteams, Karcher and a couple others. So far the Proteam is home run but it is in a completely different price range than the Oreck.

Worst vacuum ever. Do not buy this product. If you have kids, Pets, long hair...this vacuum will not clean your floors let alone carpet. Keep searching.

Awesome review- for the money these machines can’t be beat. I had one that got “lost” in a move about 10 years ago. I’ve missed it ever since- had another vac so just did without. I found one at a local estate sale this week- brand new in the box, never used. A 20 year old model with the small canister vac included. Got it for $60 and I feel like I won lotto. I believe it’s a made in USA model which thrills me to no end. Thanks for the sponge trick- will def do that!

Thanks for the review just ordered mine. Quick question, since this has no attachments do you have a suggestion for either a specific vacuum with attachments / hand held or a vacuum specifically for just attachments. Basically need something for corners or rooms and baseboards in hallway.

I am still looking for a good quality one that fits your description. I do have a backpack vacuum I really like but my staff does not. It is great for cleaning out the work vehicle and corners. It is called the perfect vacuum I purchased it at a cleaning convention. I can send you the info if you want.

Oreck does make a compact bagged vacuum with a shoulder strap, it has a hose and tools, wands, etc to fill in the missing tools with this. Probably about the same price as the Oreck, or less.

The models with the bag dock using type cc bags don't have the pop-off issue. You can buy bag docks separately and swap out the original wire retainer clip.

Hi Jase, great vid. I have a window cleaning business In Australia and have been doing a few post construction jobs. I would like to expand and include not just windows but the full clean like you show In this vid. Would you mind telling me how you price your post construction cleaning jobs. thanks.
@jasecommercialcleaning6410

Post construction cleanup is hard to bid. A lot of the time it looks like it is not too bad and once you start cleaning you see how bad it really is. Take your time on the walk through with the bid. Do not rush, and write down all you can. For a cost you need to figure out what your time is worth and base it off of that. The question you are asking is the million dollar question, so many things to consider, your time, the market and the quality of your work. Sorry there isnt a perfect answer for this question, bid it like you want it not have to have it.
