Reminder Soup Kitchen At : 11:30a to 1pm Westminster United Methodists Church. Not sure which County Church providing meal as Friday’s meal is rotated among several County Churches. Great to see commissioners getting out and about. Too bad they drove around WESTMINSTER because missed tripping and falling on Westminster’s public side walks. Especially from Washington rd down to Locus Lane on Main Street Of all places. Some Historic pride slap in face of walking resistance telling them you don’t matter. We’ll spend untold amount widening 140/97 increasing traffic flow. Thank you for the new electronic crosswalk signs. It does help some what. Now speed limit signs needed reminding it is 25 on Main Street. Oh & when replacing Corbits Charge Historic sign on Washington Rd & Main Street than was run over a while ago. Yup sound was an issue. Just like WESTMINSTER City Sidewalks full of cracks, upheavals and trip hazards. No one recognizes them because they don’t use them. Supper roads nice smooth yet lacking white paint stop lines and cross walks bricking decals ran out of stock. Like passing the microphone around stop gap upgrade repair typical focusing on Center Street to McDaniel College & around Court House. Kinda like Selective Hearing... I find it highly irritating that residents and commuters of this road were not provided the proper notification of this public hearing regarding the closure of the bridge. Regardless of whether the bridge will close today, or 10 years from now, it seems that the hearing was to make a decision that will undoubtedly affect every property owner on this road. Proper notification in my opinion is via signage posted at both ends of the road for several days at a minimum or via notification through the US Mail. I certainly get my tax bill easy enough, but somehow it is too difficult to send out a written notification through the mail to every mailing address of the property owners on the road that this hearing was taking place? Placing a couple adds in a local newspaper does not seem to be much notice in 2023, considering the number of persons that attended / spoke at the meeting. Also, how is a 10 calendar day deferment of a decision going to provide new information or alternate solutions? I don't believe that Carroll County has heard enough public input at this point to make a judgement call by December 8th. I all heard on this video recording is that engineering "thinks" the state isn't going to go for alternate solutions. Carroll County has just spent x amount of dollars surfacing the road only to roll over on moving forward with engineering a solution for the bridge.

I am about to begin work on a history of this county, which was a fundamental part of my childhood.

This really shouldn’t be this difficult. A drug rehabilitation addiction center caters to individuals of all ages with needs that are completely different than elderly residents. Putting a drug addiction facility in a neighborhood not close to ANY main roads, no street lights, no sidewalks, no close convenient store, or any shopping is INHUMANE for the people that will be there. It is JAIL. The community isn’t upset with the type of facility, they just KNOW how isolated the community is and how dangerous it could be for the people IN and out of the facility. 3 feet away from the family home next door is going to be a slight issue…….

I grew up here. I worked as a Deputy Sherriff in 1990's, as soon as I got out of the US Army. This was when the county was rapidly changing for the worse, as far as crime rates.

Could one of the decisions be to allow the elderly and disabled on e-bikes in these trails? *Or would another recommendation be needed for the elderly and disabled?

I heard and fully understood everything that the the gentleman off by himself on the right side split screen was saying, but I was unable to understand much of anything being said by any of the 10 "Solar Work Group" individuals on the left side split screen of this video now, or during any of the previous 3 "Solar Work Group" meetings due to the very poor muffled audio quality. They should have realized that this was an issue after the initial meeting and fixed it at that time, or had the closed caption option available (at the least) so most people who were interested in the direction of these newly proposed Community Solar Zoning Requirements could fully understand what they were either saying, agreeing on, or disagreeing on.
