Are there any traditional salmer with an undertext? This would be a great to learn Danish-and while singing to God, too.

This would be a great way to learn Danish from afar, if only KZbin should do closed captioning for Danish. She sings so clearly. I cannot make out any sounds from folks in Copenhagen, who sound like London Cockneys or New Yorkers to my ears.

Greatly reminiscent of the Comedian Harmonists! 🌞🌞🌞 What else?! Two of the singers (Leschnikoff and Biberti) and the pianist (Bootz) were members of the original vocal ensemble, which had to be reorganized due to National Socialist regulations. These six were great too! But still, what an incredible injustice… Thank you for the wonderful post! 🙏🍀

In an interview he gave after he had retired, Perry Como said of his singing with the Freddie Carlone and Ted Weems bands that his recordings were essentially impersonations of the young Bing Crosby's singing--his phrasing, the slight trace of Jolson in his treatment of lyrics, and even the huskiness evident in Crosby's Brunswick recordings. Just as Crosby's style was refined by Decca's Jack Kapp as his voice darkened into a bass-baritone, so too Como became a smooth ballad singer and even made a number-one hit recording of Russ Columbo's "Prisoner of Love."
